Full Billet Switch Plates:...Please...
YES!!! I've been wanting these and looking for them since I bought my ride in October of 05! Now If I could only find something to do with the Shaker 500 subwoofer grills/frame in the doors. I think the way they come from Ford looks cheap-o!
Lots of members have been painting the frame (a la Foose style), and someone even put a cloth grille over the plastic grille. (I don't remember where it was posted on this forum, or else I would have just pasted the link.)
Also I found this awhile ago from ssinserts.com http://www.ssinserts.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=714
Check out the switch plates they have on here. I imagine they're just covers though.
They are coming - mostly because I don't like the "stick on" ones I have in my own car.
I have the material to start prototyping them, but we have to get the darn deluxe door handles running first. We were at the shop until 1:00am tonight again trying, they are soooo close, 3 of the 4 operations are done and working, the fourth is just a fixturing nightmare.
So soon. And there will be a drop-top and coupe version, and they will re-use the factory switches - not that I've done any homeowrk on this or anything
I would expect late spring the way things are going around here right now with the quarter-louvers and everything else.

Ummm... YES, PLEASE!!!! Anodized switch plates would rule! Really liking what you're doing with the manual shifter bezel as well with the clean look. Very subtly sexy!
so.............
I also have the stick on window switch plates. I went at them with some steel wool to dull them out and they look good until you rest you arm on it and the cuff buttons on your shirt put hairlines in them.
Marcello, has anymore prototyping taken place?
Everything (as usual) is behind at the moment. Our new machining center is not here yet, and although it was supposed to arrive Tuesday, it is looking now like the week of the 23rd... maybe.
Once it arrives, we have some other stuff that has to go on it first, but these are still very much in my mind to do "properly". Let's see how fast we get everything up to speed with our new software and equipment, and we'll get these knocked out for everyone - including myself, as I don't like what is in my own car either.
(Always helps to have a guy on the "inside" trying to get the product to market!!)

Not yet - we'll do our best on keeping it reasonable, but it starts out as a pretty descent size chunk of aluminum, and I think that it is a minimum 3 operations to get to all spots on it. We'll see what the cycle time looks like when we actually get them running this summer.
Oops... I thought you were talking about the switch plates.
The door handles should be pretty close to existing door handle prices, maybe 15-20.00 more... there is a LOT of time in each one to get the arcs, and time=money in CNC world. There are I think 4 operations for those, and they are no fun to hold near the end.
