On hold until after the 1st. Lots of things conspired to push back production, but they are still coming shortly. Stinks, but over a cold beer sometime I'll probably tell the whole story In the meantime, we're jammed up shipping for Christmas orders, and so the timing isn't working too bad to get it all done, then we can move forward with production on these.

These will look great with the Tru Billet Door Handles. SHR makes great products and follows with great customer service.

These things look sexy in the pics but they have taken so long...and it looks like they are still not ready. I could have bought chunks of alu and filed and shaped them by hand faster than this.

I retract my interest...Time to look elsewhere.

Your loss man. It's not like he's making one of these. He's preparing the tooling to produce these in quantity, and come up with a quality product every time.

If you don't know about SilverHorse Racing, they will not release a product until they would put it on their own car. They will not put a product out just to meet a dead line, if it's not ready for production. That, along with best in class customer service is what makes SHR my favorite company to do business with.

Its not like he wasn't up front about them not being ready for a while, but do as you must.

As long as they get here before March when she comes out of storage...........

i can understand your frustration, but good luck. you won't find anything else better on the market. while i am also eager to get a set, i would rather keep my stock black plastic one than to throw some low quality piece of junk on.

the quality of shr's products and customer service is unmatched. i am going to wait.

besides... i got a new bike to keep me occupied for now. hey marcello, any plans on making products for the kawasaki ninjas? lol jk.

I am not doubting the quality of the product. Nor am I doubting the company. I just ran out of patience. It looks like ill be making my own at this point. Who knows, maybe ill buy a set of these as well.

I know you can't please everyone but I think SHR is only making these from the comments / suggestions he has gotten at this site. That's a really small sales base after you consider not everyone is going to buy these and everyone does not have a S197. A lot of other companies have stopped future S197 product development due to the 2010 coming this spring. Even though this particular product has taken a while and been pushed back, SHR has been upfront with it each time. How long have other companies promised stuff with only showing concept drawings and not an actual part? I'm sure it will materialize at some point.

maybe products will be cheaper now that 2010's are coming out. Oh and chill Bruno. i learned the hard way by buying crap only to have better stuff come out shortly after(All dress up included both interior and exterior) The money I could have saved would have been a nice down pymt on a Whipple

Sorry to hear that you're going to be looking elsewhere - but we do understand. As a small manufacturer that does things in-house rather than farming it all out, when the holidays come around and inventory gets wiped out that was not moving for months (which is when we were prototyping new products like these) suddenly the machines have to be kicked back into production of existing products that are already being advertised through normal media outlets and that our dealer netowrk already has in their systems. I wish we could just flip a switch and have parts like this, but unfortunately it just doesn't work out that way. Couple into that some recent staff changes and training,etc... and it quickly can take a project that should be "done" and drag it out a lot longer than even we'd like.

All that said, the main material order is coming in Monday finally, and it is slated to go into production as soon as current parts are caught back up - we're making I think 150 sets in the first run, enough to get opening orders and interest covered. That, and everyone who has been by our facility and seen prototypes in person has been willing to sell their first-born for one of the three pairs currently in existence, so I think when these do release there will be a lot of happy customers. (note - we don't take first-borns in trade, or any other kids, have enough of our own! )

Ok, back to it - notice the post time, this is when I've finally had a chance with all the year-end / year-start work to come by and see what was going on in the forums...
