Full Billet Switch Plates:...Please...
Wow... and it goes back and forth I see...
Luckily there is no voting on the GT/CS inserts - they are going to start shipping next week.
Keep the opinions on these coming... maybe what happens is the reverse, maybe they all get no stripes except for a few sets instead of the other way around.
On the "hot rod" look / issue... everyone realizes that this is how the OEM engine plenum cover is done on the cars? Our new fuse box cover aims to match that look, especialy since we're so close to the engine cover there. Not saying I don't agree that the look is very retro, but that is kind of the point of a lot of the car, right?
Look at the bright side - maybe we can't change the direction of the 2010 Mustang, or fix Wall St., but everyone here can help make a difference on how we make the new switch plates look for our Mustangs

I actually like the stripes. It goes retro really well with the rest of the chrome stuff I have changed out. I started this thread and I am so glad that we have pretty much reached the end of the tunnel. Thanks to everyone for their comments and patience. And a special thanks to Marcello for making our dreams come true! Good things come to those who wait.....

Here's what happened....
I personally liked the 3 stripe look, but... I kept concentrating on the driver's side. the passenger side switch is a lot smaller, and so 3 stripes don't work - it would look very weird how it would have to end into the pocket.
So... we've done the pre-production sets with 1 stripe that is slightly shorter but slightly wider than before. I think everyone might be able to like it when we're all said and done without two versions, but we'll keep options open. Pictures of the "final" versions will now have to wait for SEMA

I didn't think about the passenger side either. I see what you mean. I think one wide stripe would look good. They definitely need something, and since you can't do serrations, I'm down for a stripe.
Yep, like that
There's another thing you're missing on the side edge of the part at the moment, but I have to leave a little out there as an unknown for the moment
It is not a serration (can't do it there either...)

We go back and forth on "marking" the parts as ours, we know a lot of our competitors do it, but at the same time we know it shouldn't be on every part we make, at least where it is visible.
That said, we might do one with our logo scaled down, the windy horse as we call it looks pretty good on parts, the new fuse box cover being the first one to carry it as a finished product. But on something like the door plates, I think it would be an option, not a standard item.

I don't do trannies

+1 to that, it's not that I have a problem with SHR but when everything is marked you just have brands flying everywhere it's just not very clean in my personal opinion. Thanks for respecting our best interests
speaking of fuse box covers.... not sure if i missed it or not, but any word on the finishes? thanks.
Polished / Clear Anodized
Triple-Chrome Plated.
If there's requests for it I can make a short run of black, but it kind of defeats the purpose of covering a black plastic cover with a black aluminum cover on top of it... just my thought!
I have 2 of the three finish samples here - they look sa-weet!
