Full Billet Switch Plates:...Please...
Maybe so, but you know what they say about 1st impressions. They did not included the silicone to install them. They came pre-scratched in the packaging. And they scratch just looking at them.
.
I would yank them off, but afraid of what kind of mess the silicone is going to leave on the factory cover
Well, I did pack up a prototype set of the ***** (since the production pieces aren't back yet from the finisher) for Stillen Motorsports to have on their SEMA car. We're desperately looking for the D-clip for the 05-06 cars, and are having trouble sourcing them, so any help there would be appreciated (Ford guys in the house?)
I also broke the mirror control on our shop car today - no idea how that happened

LOL, yeah, but that takes all the fun out of it if I just replace it with another platic piece - if you know what I mean...
We're finally getting a handle on this whole turn/mill machining concept, and so now ideas that have been shaking around in my head for a while can start to be shook out

Same here. Only mine are still on cause i'm not sure how to get them off and i don't want to ruin anything. any advice?
I might be.. I might be!
It seems that more and more of the new stuff is of the "one shot" deal where once it is assembled it is not designed to be taken apart without breaking something along the way. That's okay though, I don't want to put back the stuff I take off anyway, because if I did, I wouldn't be trying to replace it in the first place!

LOL, it's going - we're still looking to get them into production ASAP, but I don't think they will make it by Christmas because by the time they are done, then sent for finishing and come back etc... it's normally 6 weeks. Figuring we've got at least 2 weeks until time opens up to do it, you can see it's behind schedule as usual
On the plus side, the A/C ***** are done, the grill inserts are going to be ready on-time, and mirror controls just need finish engraving work to be able to go off for finishing - all in all, we're making some good progress, it just takes time to get it all into the system.
As usual though, patience is rewarded when we do get our parts to market, something we're hoping to increase over the coming year for everyone.

FYI, mirror control is 25.00 in satin or black anodize, 27.00 in polished / anodized, and 29.00 in triple-chrome plated
Might get the engraving underway this weekend, if not early next week. There's already a couple running around for testing w/o engraving, they look really nice - of course that's my normal biased opinion of course.

Let us get the engraving done on them first - if you like our other interior parts, I think you will be very pleased with this one - even without the engraving the one sample we did in chrome for plating quotes looks really good, the polished one is on my personal car, and matches up well with everything else.
Don't even get me started on the door locks we finished up last week - just waiting on the new "pockets" to be done so we can release them together
The goal is one new product a month for the next year if we can do it!!

No worries! Thanks for the update! Just wanted to make sure they were still on the schedule. Even more so now that I saw post #113 in this thread.. i guess self-painting isn't the long term solution.. and I've never had luck with do-it-yourself painting of anything.

First time I come across this thread. I'm down for some nice triple chrome plates. I bought the car used so who ever had it before me used those nasty(JMO) sticker things all over the plates and center console. Most came off fine(I left it on the radio area looks good with the a/c vents) but the door plates were forever damaged.

Seriously though,I bought UPR's covers and took them off after 1 day.I hated them. They scratched so freakin easy too.In fact they came scratched
just to make new ones?
