Mine is doing the same in new orleans. Its a mess but it might have been my install. I did it with out removing the door cover so it stuck to my fingers a lot. I think that made it not stick like it should.

We worked REALLY hard to produce a felt that wouldn’t melt on those hot summer days..

We tested it during the hot and humid summer months in South Florida.

Here is a thread where others have tried it with positive experiences.

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=49789&highlight=moleskin

We manufacture our own moleskin.
Working for almost a year to perfect the development process we learned many things about this seemingly simple material.

We designed our product to interact specifically with auto tint. We added extremely strong adhesive that is highly resistant to heat and humidity. We then added a specially manufactured, finely woven piece of felt (moleskin) to the opposite side of the adhesive

Generic moleskin has too thick of a felt and inferior adhesive to withstand this application.

We are trying to become a board sponsor! I hope to be around to help you all for a long time

UPDATE:

I had the Duro-Felt and it melted as previously mentioned, leaving adhesive smeared on my tint during the summer.

I cleaned all of this crap off and installed the moleskin kit from Automoleskin.com and this moleskin + adhesive has lasted throughout the entire AZ summer this year (2007-a few weeks over 115*) w/o any separation or streaking. I'd recommend this kit to anyone needing felt/moleskin in a high-temp environment.

I wish I had known about this kit before I installed that duro felt stuff

Hell, I wish I had known about it before I tinted my windows

I might get the tint redone in the "winter" sometime, but it's not a priority by any means.

Pics of IROC-Z?

I don't want to hijack this thread so here are just a couple. ~700 hp . It ran a best of 12.004 @ 117.62 mph when it was pushing 14-psig (ProCharger). With the twins, it should be easily pushing 10s...

Does it still redline at 5500 RPM w/ the TPI?

Were you ever on Thirdgen.org? I used to post there about 5 years ago

Drew,

Thanks! I think 5500 for a TPI is kind of high. I know the 350 TPIs crap out around 4500. BUT my little 305 was good for 6200 rpms! Thirdgen.org? Dude, you're kidding me, right? I still moderate two forums there! History/Restoration & Convertible. So you were a third genner? I still own my super rare '87 Z28 convertible too (just not enough room on my signature here). You don't happen to be the "Drew" who used to moderate the History boards with me in the late 90s are you????
