Another Moleskin Thread... Please help!

The topic on Moleskins brought the idea of discussing the best method of obtaining Moles for moleskin. I have been trapping for moleskin since this spring and still don't have enought for both windows...

My current method is to use a small brass hammer, flashlight, and walkman playing Tool or any DIO tunes. I go out at night and place the walkman (with external Bass Boost Speaker) near a mole trail and CRANK IT UP!

Upon hearing the music the moles normally come to the surface to bang their heads, where I promptly shine the flashlight in there eyes, and give them a good whacking with the brass hammer. Course they normally look like this...

I know there are many sharp guys out there that may be able to help me with some new methods to improve my success and help me protect my expensive window tint...

Thanks!

Welll....

Parva, you are somewhat correct but Nauga hunting is much more dangerous. Good thing we have safer methods these days.

For those of you who don't know, Naugas are a fierce beast found in the wild, located through much of the Midwest. As to appearance, they are somewhat of a cross between a pig and a dog, but have a nasty disposition, and can cause serious damage with their teeth and tusks. The only way to effectively hunt them, and I am sure that Parva will agree, is to sit quietly in a tree with a large wooden spear. When the Nauga walk underneath your tree, you leap out and quickly strike!

Due to Global warming, sunspots and a number of dasterdly Politicians, we no longer able to hunt Naugas. Very few are seen these days, and many people may not believe, never having seen one. Seldom you will find a sofa or vehicle seat covered in the prized Naugahyde...

I think you would agree that Nauga hunting is MUCH more dangerous than simply "whacking a Mole"...

Well explained Mach!

All the youngins who have never had the opportunity to 'attempt'
Nauga huntin', due to the above mentioned reasons have missed out.

At least they can partake in Mole chases...

The next best thing is snipe hunting, follows the same routine. stand in a field with a burlap bag, shine a flashlight into it so the snipe can see their way and have a group of friends circle around and chase the snipe to you.

So what about the empire "free" moleskin? Is it good quality and does it stay on? How did you get the elk skin mounted?
