sorry ya'll -- i'm just got back in from Austin last night -- My hood is supposed to be out of the paintshop this afternoon -- I'll try to get pics uploaded after the install. I know I owe a couple of ya'll at least a pic from the driver's seat & a profile shot.

I just got the call letting me know my hood will be delivered Monday!!!!!!!
I will be sure to take some pictures and post them.
Dang, looks like Lou is the first hood in the Houston area.
Oh well, I'll just have to settle for second.

Well fellas ... we'll all get there eventually. stopped by the paint shop after work & they still weren't finished. They let me take a looksie & it looks awsome!!! - but there were some areas where the clear coat had ran plus some bubbles in a couple spots -- so it didn't pass quality. :notnice: They're going to have to sand & retouch -- they said it will be done 2morrow -- so I should have pics posted no later than thurs. until then i'm impatiently waiting.

 

Good Luck Lou! (no pun intended ) I'm still waiting as well.... There's two people I don't rush, my chef or my painter...

 

no pun taken. I'm right there w/ ya "J" I wanna make sure it's done right. say... you come up w/ any suggestions for the hood pin situation??? looks like these guys figured something out --- not sure if I like the set up though :

Well... just got the call. My hood's ready Unfortunately the shop closes @ 6:00 & I wont be able to make it there by the time I get off of work. but.... I'll have them install it first thing in the morning b4 coming into the office I'll try to have pics up 2morrow evening.

4 all of you waiting on this hood... it's definitely worth the wait. i'm 150% satisfied with mine. I finally picked it up from the shop this mornin' & had them install it. looks great!!!!! the whole car looks so sinister now & even more so in black i'll post pics as soon as i get the chance.

Lou, don't forget to road test it for us at 140 MPH to see if it has any hood shake.
You know thats the responsability of the first people to get new mods right?
Can wait to see it on the car and painted.

Well guy's, I think I'm going without hood pin's for a while... I am hoping without the rubber seal in the back of the hood, that it will vent out enough air to prevent a disaster. Lou, that car in the pic would probably be the best place for pin's on this hood. Like you I don't like them there at all. With this hood I would rather have them moved out more to the corner of the hood (right where the headlight mount's are). We'll see, congrat's on the hood being done! I can't wait to see it!
