Pretty funny Yeah the boy racer hood was one of my top choices -- really don't like the fact that it's not going to be functional though. I'm really liking this hood - it's the closest thing to the hood on the concept -- which is one of the features that really sold me.

2 B honest -- prior to seeing the concept I was shopping for a "Z"

Anyways .... maybe I'll end up getting both hoods so that I can change up every now & then depending on my mood

truthfully, my cars front profile could be sticking its tongue out at you - if the guy is staring at your tail lghihts, it really don't matter...

This is going to display my ignorance in these matters, but I have the following questions about this kit:
1) Without the addition of a CAI or any other changes under the hood, is this hood OK to swap with stock?
2) Assuming it's OK to do, would you see any difference from stock with this hood, or would it just be looks at that point?
3) Also assuming OK on #1, would it be difficult to later install a CAI to take advantage of this hood?
4) Do you have to use any particular type of CAI, and how do you set it up especially for this hood?

I think it'd be great to get this hood for looks now and for actual improvement later on, when I do things like CAI, tune, etc. Thanks guys. This forum is always a learning experience, but there's so much more for me to learn.

Edit: They have this hood, and then they have a "Ram Air" hood that is apparently for the Mustang GTR. What exactly makes it a "Ram Air" hood and how is it different from this hood. And what is a GTR?

I took the shot and my order is in the pipe.....

 

I called and inquired as to how high the rear edge of the hoodline sits as compared to stock.
The center "bulge" is 3" higher than the stock hood.
Kinda like the Steeda cowl induction hood...

 

What problems did you have with the first hood?

 

I talked with Mo last Friday and he said mine should be ready to ship the first week in June.

 

The corners of the hood did not line up with the rest of the car plus, a couple of other things. It was another style of hood by RK. I'm happy with them for sending out a new one.

Mine should be here first week of June also. I'm having it shipped to a body shop at the race track. I'm going to have the hole's from the stock spoiler welded in and the entire car wet sanded and buffed. Johnny, who is doing your body work? What are you expecting to pay?
