That is one cool hood Johnny! I'll be curious to how much body work it will take to make the hood look right....I'll be watching this one. When you get it done PM me, I want to check it out.
Hopefully not much. After speaking with RKsport I feel this time will be a snap.

could have been better // the intake slots still show the white which makes it look a little off. I'm gonna try another chop of one of the side angled hoods to get a better perspective. also if you notice this chop is a little off perspective wise. the intake slots should actually not extend past the front grille.

but thanx 4 the kudos Zc527

Thanks for the chop Lou.

thanx 4 starting the post -- this hood is really growing on me -- I think I'm going to put my order in next week. Here's the other chop I promised -- I still think it's a lil' off -- but you can get the general idea. looks allot like the concept.

Well that's what I was after - I emailed RK Sport about this and never heard back....

Shoot - I would REALLY like to see this installed on a car before I spend the cash on it - especially cause I wasn;t planning on buying a hood anytime soon. Plus risk going through anything like 2005redgt had to go through....

Hmmmm.......

My RKSport hood only cost an extra $540 to have prepped, primered, painted and fit. Bryan took it a step or 2 further than I did I think. I love this new hood though. Looks a lot like the concept. I have finally had the air box made and now I have a true CAI! That was the last detail that needed worked out for the first RKSport hood. The air box cost me another $35 to have fabbed up. Costly I know but I would like to think that the RKSport design team heard the voices of this web site and paid attention.

Here are some thoughts that I have about the hood.

1. What happens under speed with the vents, hood rising and noise
2. Does it really fit well or is there going to be lots tweeking
3. I would really like to see it on a car before I would buy one
4. It really isn't retro, just different
5. It's a good price at $450. Maybe someone will get it installed by the
end of May

1) RK said no hood pins needed . I'm doing it anyway. Speed = more air. The noise can't be louder than my Magnapacks.
2) A good company should make a good hood.
3) I hope to get it soon.
4) 1971 Mustang is close.

Hey steal101. Are they replacing your hood at no charge ? If so, has your current RKSport hood had any work done to it ?

placed my order today -- found out the freight cost was $110 cheaper which was cool -- hood pins are reccomended if you intend on exceeding 80mph. Guess I'll be ordering hood pins next

Not sure yet  still searching the net. I'll post the details when I make my mind up to get some opinions.
