Louver replacement for quarter window glass

Regardless, the installation costs are going to be high for a modification like this, so we really do want to keep this as much of a value as possible. With that said, just make them look as best as possible.

Price will be very obtainable - another one of my little "rules" - ask a fair price for a quality product, so people remember you for your product, not how much they were hit by sticker shock for inferior pieces.
Yes, it will cost more than the stick on pieces to do this, but I think the end will justify the means. Plus, if you are feeling froggy, you could do it yourself, and the cost would be the part + paint (if desired), although I'm guessing a lot of our customers will opt for qualified installers.
Agressive - yes.
Sell like crazy? I hope so - like the honycomb panel, we are going to invest cubic dollars into this project to make a quality part, and hopefully people will appreciate our work and want them on their car.
Ok, keep the votes coming, this is good intel before an op...

Hey Marcello, thanks for all the recent updates. I have a tendency to go with some (limited) visibility. But, none wouldn't be a problem either. Either #1 or #2 would work for me as well. Can't wait to see some of the sketches, once your allowed to show them. Thanks again for the updates, and can't wait to read what is happening next.

On the visibility issue, I'm with most of the other posters here. I would like some visibility (option 2) if possible, but would gladly sacrifice visibility for killer looks. Make it look cool and I will buy it regardless of the visibility factor.

I would have to go with #2 also, some visibility. I actually do use the rear quarters when driving, and losing them completely would not be enjoyable. I'd get used to it of course, but would prefer to keep some visibility there.
I can't wait to see how this looks, I was so impressed with the rear panel you guys did.

It's the reverse of the aboce picture. The metal in front of the scoop is angled 45 degrees inward creating "a scoop" of sorts. Because you are not going to alter the sheet metal on the car, if you bend the leading edge of the window replacement inward at 45 degrees, you'll create a flush mounted quarter window replacement with a little slit for a window at the leading edge.....follow?

Kinda like this one, with the 3 slits closest to the rear of the car.....removed....so it's almost all flush! That would be a design that most closely mimicks the 05 silver concept but is different enough that Ford wouldn't care, it would be cool, and there would be a tiny bit of visibility!

If you can actually make it look like the '65 vents, visibilty would not be a factor for me.
It has to look like the gold car and absolutely NOTHING like the silver car. Those vents just look cheesy. Not as bad as the stick on kind, (Roush, SSE, CDC/MRT, etc) but still cheesy.

Thanks for the replies, keep them coming!
As to the gold car - that is a nice photoshop, but unfortunately, unless you are willing to cut a hole in the side of your car for the mod (which I dubt very many would want to do) it is not obtainable. That said, I think the comments so far mean we are moving in the right direction, and I think everyone will be very happy with the finished product.
On the concept car - I thought Xenon already had one close to it?

Thanks for designing flush louvers for the 05. Your company has earned a shortcut on my computer and my Visa is in hand
I think you should go with a bit of visibility, even if it is not functional as a "check blind spot option". I have memories of the sun shining through the louvers on a sunny day and projecting the slotted pattern on the back seats of my fathers Mustang! But if visibility hurts the design in any way, go no vis.

Hey Marcello, would you guys still be aiming for something like you posted? Is this along the lines of your design?
I really don't care for the more rounded design...
