Hood pins are a must if you drive highways often IMO. I'll get them soon as I have to commute farther to go to school.

I appreciate the info Jonathn. Phil assurred me this hood was made heavier and more sturdy than the version for the stock GT. I guess time will tell.

Joe,

Looks perfect. I'm still waiting to get mine painted. This whole intercooler upgrade and new tune, pulley, etc has taken it's toll on my bank acct. I'm hoping to have it painted next month.

wait, so aftermarket hoods don't fix the flutter problem? Even if they have vents that allow underhood air to pass right through?

thanks Ford.

Nope. Makes it worse in most cases. Hood pins would be a good thing to look into with an aftermarket hood. I know I need them.

Ya hood pins are huge for fiberglass hoods. When I was going 140 on the Shelby cruise to Vegas, I was sure glad I had them!

It is only a matter of time until this thread costs me some money.

Keep the pictures coming! Would love to see more with stripes on them!

Thanks,

+1 Fryguy.

06Tungvert, is that hood functional? That thing looks sweet. If it is functional, would it work in conjunction with a CAI or is it a one or the other type of mod? Either way, bad *** looking car!
