Here's my conversion. This is from the Queen Mary show last weekend off the harbor.

The gt500 front-end is definitely beautiful.

Very nice. Is that the Ford KR hood or an aftermarket piece?

it's the race car factory hood. it's very different from the kr hood. it was originally developed as a racing hood and extremely functional. fit is excellent and there was hardly any prep work needed for the hood. it's a solid piece.

i was never looking for the kr hood, just something different and i haven't seen anyone with an aftermarket hood for the gt500 front-end yet. just wanted to share to give people choices and new ideas.

Was just curious to see exactly what it would look like because the Foose nitrous is what I have on my black mustang. I have been debating whether or not to do this conversion and cost outweighed how much more I liked this than the stock front. But now seeing it on another black stang and with the hood I've thought about, I'm rethinking it again.

I vote leave the lights the way they are. It's already extremely sinister looking. This way you have just the right amount of contrast to break up the black.

Ghetobooty i saw in sum of ur pix sum mustangs with bpack seperator inserts on the headlights... would u know if those come for cobra fascias?

they are not made for the gt500 headlights. the lights jut out and are angled out so the splitters made for the standard mustangs will not fit. anyone that wants that look will have to trim an existing piece made by 3d carbon (they are flat) and custom fab it on.

i wanted to transplant the halo projectors into the gt500 headlight housing, but it's just too much time/money. i hope some rich person decides to make a mold and do a limited run production.

I'm not talking about the one single plastic rod that goes across the middle of the headlight im talking bout the black plastick that blocks out the hole headlight and it makes it look like the old 1969 gtr

they don't make them as yet. i don't think there are enough gt500's on the road for company to mass produce parts like that. it would be very cool though.

may i ask what type of rear bumper you have?

What tail light covers are those?

antey-it's a gt/cali special rear bumper with the exhaust cut-outs fabbed to accept the rectangle tips.

2006gt500-there are no covers. it's a special mixture of clear and black paint that my shop uses. it looks terrific and i never get pulled over since they look oem.
