A rivet gun I have. Since it's only a couple bolts it'll be the route I'll go. I haven't liked any of the after market chin spoilers/facia and the CS one now that I've seen it up close and personal a couple of time just looks too good to pass up. Don't have the dough yet but I plan on getting it soon after the new year !!

Thanks

Hey Kevin,

I don't know if you know this but the GT500 uses two small rear mud flapper "thingies". They're not really a mud flap but more of a black vertical "extension" to the lower black portion of the rear bumper. I just picked up the pair:

7R3Z - 16A550 - AA
7R3Z - 16A550 - AB

Might think about putting these on your hotsheets if you haven't already. I do not know if these pieces are used on any other Mustang. I'm planning on installing them this weekend. Pics to follow.

And once I finish color sanding my hood and get factory striping widths, they get put on...

He offered them to me when I ordered my GT/CS kit, and since they were only about $10 each I figured I could try them out, and either leave them on or take them off, whichever looked better. Still waiting on my bumpers to be finished, hopefully today or tomorrow I'll get them back and do my installs this weekend.

I found out about these when I saw my first GT500 at a car show. I asked the owner if they were original and he said they were. I got mine from a local dealership for ~$5.47 each....

its so tiny! I'll probably get it. I get crap on my v6 bumpers like the tire shining goop, which lasts forever (meguiars stuff that smells grapey). cheap mod. not as large as the mudflaps on the v6 or the gt

I am looking to get the gt500 rear bumper, I no i cant put them on the v6 bumper.

It might have been $10 for the pair, I don't remember exactly, but Kevin brought it up when I was ordering and I decided to go for it. I think I'll probably end up putting them on since they really aren't that obtrusive.

Got my covers back today, will be doing the change tomorrow. I've got pics of 2l8iwon's conversion, and location of the stock bolts, anyone know where I can get pics of the bolt locations for the rear?

Well I got the front on, but didn't get the back done. I think I'm missing 4 of the body panel connectors (black plastic rivet things with screws in them). When I went to put the bottom piece on behind the lower air dam, I only had one packet of 4, and there are 8 holes along that. I used them to hold the two in the center, and the outer two, but would like to get the rest done too.

Also, from looking up at the inside of the rear bumper, it looks like there's a long plastic bracket I need to move from the old bumper over to the new one, is that correct? And like I asked before, does anyone have pics or a diagram of the locations of all the screws/bolts/rivets I need to remove to get this rear bumper off?

Sorry, I brought the camera in today to upload pictures from doing the front end, but forgot the cable. I'll get them up tomorow.

Am I the only one still reading this thread?

Here are a couple pics of the front end install from Saturday. Did it all myself, without even raising the car or taking the wheels off. The rear is a little harder, can't get to the screws in the wheel well without removing the tires, so I'll do it later this week.

Oh, and I included a picture of the damage that started this whole thing.

NOPE

What you've done is exactly what I am planning on doing around Feb/March (After I get the C&L)..

I think it looks great It's also good to hear that it isn't that difficult to do!

I was wondering, besides the Shelby GTs, has anyone painted the black section of the GT/CS lower fascia to match the car color? I'm thinking about doing this and putting LeMans stripes down there too.
