Some sort of SMG/DSG type tranny, definitely. Come on Ford, let's step up to the head of the pack, technology wise, not shovelling up at the back. Wistfull nostalgia for '60's retro certainly holds some appeal, but it's got to be well undergirded by competent contemporary engineering.
