Got mine last yesterday, will install this weekend but as the car is put away for the winter there is no rush. Right now I have the rear end out and apart waiting for new rear gears. Took drive shaft out to clean and paint so it doesn't get rusty, already painted the rear end same day I got the car. Will do a better job now with it out of the car. Winter is a good time to get this all done, have Steda springs coming and will do rear LCA and brackets, front LCA relocation and probably other items yet before the snow is gone. The list just seems to keep growing.

I may have to get under there tonight. Just kiddin' my valve covers are in Florida at Hatchman's getting powder coated, so I can't fire it up anyway. I think I'll wait to see if I get a pair of shorty's from Mrs. Claus.

Got your covers over at Kevin's getting coated! Hopefully they will be back in the mail to you Monday.
Got my H pipe tonight, putting it on Monday as well. Anybody with some more sneak peek sound clips?
Received my o/r h-pipe this afternoon and plan to install it this weekend. I can't wait to hear it with my magnaflow catback. :-) Right now, my magnaflows are not much louder than stock mufflers. I hope they sound much deeper with the new h-pipe. Thanks Brent!

Did you use the supplied clamp where the pipes join. It appears, according to the h-pipe pictured on Brenspeed.com (the detailed view of it installed), that Brent used some band type clamp, rather than like the one supplied. Just curious. I won't be installing mine until this weekend.
Thanks,
Steve

I used the one that came with the kit! I would say that the "H" is the weak point in this system. I hope I don't get any leaks!

I hope mine sounds close to the same with Magnaflows.

Also interested in what it sounds like on the road. How much louder at a constant speed on the interstate? Any drone? Thanks!
I don't plan to use the supplied clamp. I will tack weld the H-pipe together after everything is installed and properly alligned. Will then take the H-pipe out weld up completly, clean, prep, and paint with high temp paint and reinstall.
Don't want any issues with leaks.

I know this video stinks! But my other video is too big to upload! It's like 45 mb.
I didn't want to throw revs until I got back under to check for leaks. I will get a better video, and post it in another thread later with a full write up!

Sounds good! Thanks for the clip! I hope mine sounds like that with the JBA's. Just a request, throw a couple of revs in there next time.

It wounds great on the road. I am learning to keep it quiet! That's the hardest part! I am also noticing a loss in MPG! LOL! User fault I'm sure!
It is not much louder at freeway speeds unless your at 1/2 throttle! Then it screams! Especially next to big trucks!!!
Check out my install thread everyone!

How hard will it be to remove it come smog time? I know that's not for a long time, but I'm just wondering. I don't want any leak issues either.

Removing the "welded hipipe" is just as simple as removing the stock h-pipe, only easier, because there's no big ugly cats to get in your way. Mines now welded too.
