2. I expect them in by December 1st but will know better in a couple days.
3. Dyno testing Thursday.
4. What I know so far about the H vs. the X is some mufflers sound good with an X. For those that dont the H will really help. I am using Mac's as an example. They have a design that is very high pitched with an X. With the H the car seems deeper and is not as loud inside. The mufflers still give that 2,500 rpm growl on part throttle acceleration but not near as high pitched as with an X. The noise in the car was really loud with the Mac's and the X and not near as bad with the H. The H with stock mufflers is pretty cool also as the car is more throaty yet your significant other will not likley know you modded the car.
5. I plan on having the H pipes up on the site soon with the special pre-order price.
6. I will have more sound clips up soon with other various mufflers.
Hey bren would it be possible for you to get a clip of the off road H and borla/frpp/steeda axlebacks. I have a feeling that the borlas(as deep as they are) and the off road H would sound mean as heck.
Also what is the advantage to buying a whole H pipe rather than just cutting off tha cats and sticking a 2.5 inch pipe to just replace the cats.

After hearing that offroad H pipe mated with the stock mufflers, I'm on the fence again. I was going to buy that offroad H pipe with 90% certainty till I heard that clip. It wasn't much of what I expected at all. I was honestly hoping for a sound more similar to the sound clip from JBA's site of LT headers + offroad H + mufflers.
Now I know the LT headers influence the sound a lot, but I was hoping an offroad pipe would put me at least in the same ballpark. I'm also willing to believe that the sound quality of your clips aren't doing the pipe justice. I'm also willing to admit that, if you can convince me, I'm still willing to buy that H pipe...but please convince me. Is there quality loss in the sound clip? Will that offroad H pipe put me in the ballpark of the sound clip below?
Here's the clip I was talking about for reference:
http://www.jbaheaders.com/Sound Files/05mustang_rev.mp3
(there is a space in the URL, so you have to copy/paste the whole thing)
Thanks, and like I said, I *want* to buy this pipe...I'm 50/50 right now and just need a little reassurance.

SOLD, I want to be the first on the list!
After your dyno session will you have custom tunes availbable for the pipe as well (k&N, c&l, Steeda intakes).
Are you going to take deposits, or should I just pay you in full (I want to get the xcal2/k&n intake as well).

My sound clips are done with a digital camera. Nothing really high tech. I dont think they really tell the exact tail of what a car sounds like. BUT that clip you attached sounds like that car is cammed? Are you sure it is an 05? Does not sound stock to me but I am on a lap top right now. Also mufflers make a big difference in sound like I said above.

So can I ask you to describe more what your offroad H pipe mated with the stock mufflers sound like? If it's the same as the stock sound, only louder (which you alluded to in your other post)...I'd be down for that.
If I buy it, maybe I can convince my friend to put it on his car for a little bit so we can make sound clips. He has the FRPP/Borla mufflers.
I can't wait to see the dyno numbers btw...that's really cool that you dyno all your parts.

could you possibly get a clip with SLP Loudmouths... and will you be providing a tune for those of us who have an Xcal 2 and CAI from you?

As we discuss exhaust sounds please everybody keep in mind that what is awesome to one guy the next guy dis-likes. I can sell the same mufflers to 10 different guys and one guy thinks it is to loud and the other says it is not loud enough. So remember as we discuss exhaust I can try to give you my opinion on what I think but it is in fact an opinion.
The sound of an H with stock mufflers? I like it. Is it loud? No I dont think it is loud but I do think it is more throaty. No drone in the car yet sounds awesome when you hammer it.
its up on brenspeed.com http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_2005/images/2005h.gif
-8hp
-10 ft lbs
-no tune needed
this is nice
o ya......... sry if this is off topic but do you think that this o/r h, borla s-types, jtl series 2, steeda ud pullies, and a x-cal2 tune would put me around 300rwhp or better
