I installed mine last weekend and noticed a loss of power in the lower RPM's. I had Doug at Bamachips make me a tune though and now I've got my power back and then some.

I only notice a smell when my windows are down and I'm stopped at a stoplight and there is no breeze. Even then I don't notice it all the time so I can definitely live with it.

Put mine on last night.... Thanks RPM!

I think I'm gonna have the H welded. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it yet. Lost some lowend, seemed to gain some topend. Time will tell..... Sounds good with the Bassani system.

Hey, you're welcome Tom. Losing a little low end power and gaining it back on top is what I noticed also. Your car should sound nice with the Bassani's, the stock mufflers just didn't cut it. Did you have your rear O2s turned off yet?

Guys,

would this setup be optimized by adding a S/C to my car? IN other words, would the extra power of a blower counteract the loss of backpressure from the freer-flowing pipes?

Nope, I don't have the sensors turned off and I haven't had a CEL yet. I've heard some people say you have to have the sensors off, and other people say that you don't, so I don't know for sure but I haven't had any trouble.

I did have to tighten the H clamp down again after driving the first day....... time to weld it.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

For the first two weeks I was not impressed with the power of the pipe, and like you I lost a lot in the mid range. After speaking with a few different people, I then reloaded my tune and it seems like I never lost but actually gained more tq/hp in the mid range.

This may sound wierd, but there is a particular on ramp that when I hammered down in 2nd it would break the tires loose pre-Hpipe and after the car refused to do this (btw, may seem childish but I do it everyday on the way to work). So after going back and forth about taking off the pipe, I reloaded the tune and now I am happy!

My overall opinion will come on the 27th when I return to the track.

Is this a serious question?

I'll try that, thank you!!

Well, it's a semi-serious question. I guess I'm just trying to learn how exactly that works.

Well, one thing's for sure.........

I think that its safe to say that adding a blower would make you forget about any loss of lowend speed caused by adding this pipe.

tom,

It seems like the car took a day or two after reinstalling the tune for it to come around.

Yeah, while you're at it, maybe get your H-pipe welded too.

Forget the welding! Just stick it in something, and it'll be all better

I think my old clamp is a little loose. It just doesn't fit as tight as it used to. I really like it better when it's tighter. Maybe I should go out and get a new one? Oh, and the H pipe is still rattling.

I would prefer an assortment of clamps of varying sizes.
