Yup, I was stating the obvious about the ratchet

However, I'm sure this is a typo. Don't we have the 5R55S in our cars? 5R55E is the tranny in the Rangers and Lincolns.

Great idea but IMO it lacks in the appearance department. I'm sure the people that want this though won't really care how it looks.

I really like the look of it.....it is simple yet nice. I am going to go with the t-handle, however, but it looks great. Put me on the list for sure for Novemeber.

Thanks! And thanks for being patient with all of us, hehe!

I thought it would look more like the older ones with the accordian shift boot and the T-handle upfront that you had to pull up in order to get it to shift into netrual or park.

Still it looks alot better then the stocker, will the plate to the left of the stick have letters on it for an indicator or it looks like it has leds in it?

Thanks, Doug.

it has the indicator letters in it... The accordian style boot just didn't go well with the rest of the interior in the car..We tried it and all agreed it didn't look right..Plus, it required a whole different baseplate and much modification to the console to make it work...The T-handle will be just like our standard ones....A polished look

how solid does it feel? My main gripe about the stock shifter (aside from slipping to other gears way to easily! haha!) is that it feels like a plastic toy!

With its billet solid stick and delrin **** it is a very solid piece...Also with the bezel being a billet type design the whole unit is very stout...
