We got in six more runs today (2 for me and 4 for Donna). For some odd reason, on four of the runs (Donna's first 3 and my 2nd one), the car had a hiccup at the top of first gear. It wasn't a 1-2 shift bouncing off the rev limiter issue. It's still a mystery.

Anyway, I didn't improve from my best yesterday, but Donna laid down a killer run. Unfortunately, she was in the first round of the Quick Challenge bracket, and was on the losing side of a double breakout. Anyway, she ripped off a 10.581 @ 128.42, with a density altitude of 3,711 feet!! Smokes!!!

First run ever with the supercharger, and first run ever at this particular dragstrip. I'm car # 2725 in the right lane...

 

Great day at the track this week end, did more than excpected for this season.
Previous best was 12.90, added a TCI 3000tr Stall and get that.
And i have still two days available at the track !

So, what happened to the updates to the list in Post #1 of this thread?

 

Spent 8 hours at Pacific Raceways yesterday. It's the last weekend of the season, so it was packed with hundreds and hundreds of racers! Only got in 2 runs the entire day, but both were my best ever runs and exceeded my goals for the day!

1st run was better based on mph, while the 2nd run was better based on ET's. Spun a bit in 1st gear on the 1st run, so I lowered the drag radials to just 18 psi for the 2nd run (dead hooked with a 1.80 60' time).

1st run 12.345 @ 111.93 mph, 2nd run 12.338 @ 110.59 mph. Both runs were below 8 seconds (finally) in the 1/8 mile, and I even ran 90+ mph in the 1/8 mile on the 1st run!

I went to FFW at the Texas Motorplex early to see how the car would run at 55 degrees.

13.37 at 102 was a surprize!

Mods are C&L racer intake BahmaChips 93 Race Tune Billet LCA`s

 

Kenne Bell at 15psi and im pretty happy to say i did that without powershifting on my 18" 275/45/18(Really 255) MH Drag Radials. the **** rim/tire combo weighs 62lbs per haha

I swear to god these MH 275/45/18's are better than my bogarts with the ET Drags or the ET Streets. Once again all day i could not hook with the bogarts and ET Streets. I did manage a few 11.1 and 11.2 runs with them but a lot of 11.9's and 11.4's. I switched over to my MH and street rims and banged off the 10.870@130.23 pass. New best time new best MPH. MY mph was up all day as well with quite a few 128's and 129's

 

Been a while since I posted sorry. There are alot of very quick cars here that weren't here before. Congrats to all!

From November 08...right before motor blew up. Started rebuilding motor and then decided to rebuild whole car. Goal is to be race ready for October 2010.

Video of my best run at Tech and Tune.
The GT500 ran a 14.690--Street tires, and a new driver or new car to the driver, I think, cause he was running 13.90s by the day's end.
Run is at the end of the video, first one is my first run that day. Still teaching Pete the ropes about filming drag racing, but props to him for getting me going.
Timeslips of these runs and more posted in a couple days (soon as I find the camera and snap off some quick ones.)

Pete says record run, which it was for me and this car, but not like a track record or anything........
