Actually, I like it. Most of the fun is in the first 660 feet anyway... all the accelaration, gear changes, G-forces, etc. happens before half track. After the 1/8, nothing much is going on... the trap speed only increases by about 20% - 25%. Personally, I'd rather get 12 to 20 runs at an 1/8-mile track, than 3 or 4 at a 1/4-mile track.

I felt that way even before the car was built up. Let's say I ran 8.50 @ 82 in the 1/8, and then 13.30 @ 103 in the 1/4. That means 36% of the ET time was spent gaining 20% of the mph.

I'll get a picture when I can:

5.25.2007 at Sacramento Raceway

RT: .167
60': 1.752
1/8: 8.015
MPH: 85.398
1/4: 12.545

I can't believe I dropped so far in the standings! This will get me back up to #3!!!

Ive got a 13.78 @103 from last time around here somewhere, but cant find the old slip...but for now, heres pic of tonights best- 13.888 @ 102.25- still 100% stock.

had fun- Japanese friend was visiting, he made 4 runs(used to right hand drive/4 cyl/FWD/no racetracks over there) managed to bark 2nd/third, one run was pretty good- 14.0something @99 with a 2.1 60- thought he did pretty well especially considering the huge adjustment to left hand drive- he had a ball though- first run he was almost SCREAMING as he went thru the traps afterwards said "I want a mosstang for Japan!"

Trimmed a little off the last Mustang Week time. Went a 12.21 @ 112.34 in the heat. It was 93 degrees and the air was crappy.

Please tell us your secret for getting these 60' times on stock tires.

The best I've been able to get is 2.19

New personal best last night at Castrol Raceway. 13.22 At 107.60 mph at 2200' above sea level(12.88 at 110 mph altitude corrected) 1.991 60 footer (needs work).
Dyno tune on Tuesday then back to the track Friday weather permitting. I see 12's in my not to distant future.

with your whipple, i would assume you would be in the mid-high 12's with all the other stuff that you have....do you have radials or slicks??? those make up about 3/10 time off of your et's....
