hey man if the track was 100 degrees and you have stock 3.55 gears, than thats really really good! hey i bet if the weather is around 40 degrees and you have 4.10 gears, you are at around 12.8- 12.9, depends if you have radials or stock tires... if stock, you should be able to get about 13.0 if your lucky... =]

06 GT, auto tranny, 3.31 gears.

JDM stage 2 Saleen kit, Corsa axlebacks, 18x9.5 wheels with OE GT500 tires.

Pulled front swaybar, 1/4 tank gas, front pressure 40 and rear pressure 23 psi... kept the Shaker sub box and spare/ jack intact

I went to the track last Spring when the air temp was about 35-40 degrees and ran a 8.74 at 81. Then got 4.10 gears and went back last week with about 60 degree air and ran a 8.72 at 82. I figured the gears would help more than that, it really felt a lot stronger.

I have a auto with 93 performance tune, JLT2, Steeda UDP, and Loudmouth axelbacks. I also have had 20" wheels on the car with both runs. Is this a normal time with these mods and would the air make that much of a difference even though 60 degrees isn't hot by any means?

Billy, atmospheric and track conditions play a very big role in what times you run, especially when you try to compare two completely different time periods for your times. A full break down of each of your time slips would be a big help and in this particular case the 60' for the two runs you are comparing are probably the most important. Density altitude plays a big role, when comparing times and tracking new mod performance. The difference between a 40 degree day with low humidity and a 80 degree day with high humidity could be 4-5 tenths and 3-4 MPH.

Thanks. The car is hooking very good.

Here is a vid of the run, sorry the quality but I guess the resolution was set to the lowest and that's why the vid came out this bad.

New best time!

2007 GT
5-speed manual
3.31s
18" polished Bullitts

Mods:
Bamachips 93 octane Torque Tune
JLTII CAI

13.461@104.98mph

This was done into a 20mph headwind, and spun all the way through 2nd gear. Track conditions were very poor. It was cold out all day, and someone decided to oil down the right lane (the one I was in). Confident that would have been a 13.30 or maybe even a 13.2x run without lighting them up on an upshift. Wind wasn't helping anything either.

I will post the time slip a little later. I am more and more impressed with this car and Doug's tune the more I drive this car and the more I race it. Anyone who is waffling on getting a tune....look what I have - a heavy car with heavy rims, and the worst gear ever.....with a good track and cool weather on radials, a set of gears would most likely put this car in the 12's.
