OK..just did an edit on the above, but it didn't register, so here we go.

First, while new to TMS, I've been following along since 3/12 when I learned I could order an "07..which I did 3/20, delivered 7/20 (See Blue Oval Forums under Order Tracking) "07GT Coupe, 5 spd, 355's".

Got introd to GMS looking for a Tower Strut Brace that would fit the GT package with engine cover...called when I saw the postings saying it woudn't fit...had also read about the CAI/MAF set-up, and was asked by GMS if I was willing to drive 60 miles north to Oxnard...I said yes.

Had never talked to or met JR.....he has clearly grown up and kept up with automotive performance. He is an honorable businessman with a clean shop and superb staff. (I am in the retained executive search business, and have visited hundreds if busineses and interviewed thousands of people) Other than 2 pit stops I was with JR for nearly 7 hours...he would not go near the Dyno to check resulrs without insisting I shadow him.

You will see the results nearly mirror those posted above for an '06...as HarleyBill found, this is a great set-up, and you can feel the performance.

And thanks Joe for taking my order for the CAI and TB after hours tonight! That's some customer service.
Well we dyno'd the 2007 on Saturday as promised. Here are the results

stock for stock they are only 2.7hp apart from each other

after the install of just a Cold Air Intake

so the 2006 did +28.8 HP and +24.1 ft/lbs!
and the 2007 did +25.5 HP and +21.5 ft/lbs!

This shows they are pretty darn close to each other

Your CAI and MAF combo, increase power by about 25HP.
As far as the ECM is concerned everything is stock, just a power increase from the increased air.

Since the car is basically stock with your setup. Am i to assume that on top of your hardware i could get a Predator or SCT2 tuner and use the STOCK calibirations they provide for 87,89,91 pump gas?
To get an even higher power increase?
Yes - In theory you can do that. We do have customers that drive around on 87 but I have never dyno'd them like that. But again I have never asked my customers what gas they were running

JR, just to clarify even more, when you say "Just CAI" you actually mean the GMS intake kit with your new MAF, correct? The plug-and-play version, that does not require a retune.

I am liking those numbers.

added bonus

We dyno'd a Supercharged Saleen with our cold air, t-body and 60,000 volt coil set up.

test 1 - added coils

Just coils on Blown Saleen - 16.2 hp & 12.2 ft/lbs

Added T-Body and CAI - 20.8 hp & 19ft/lbs. So this is an interesting test. It shows that the blown car does not benefit as much from the cold air as the N/A motor. I surmise this is because the blower forces the air in where as the N/A motr needs all the help it can get sucking it in

Told power added from the 3 add on's was

37 hp and 31.2 ft/lbs

Correct - to me unless otherwise stated GMA CAI always includes our calibrated MAF

Hey JR, just out of curiosity, does running higher octane gas improve performance any with the upgrades or not? I know that they say you are wasting money if your car says run it on 87 and you put in 92 because your "tune" is set for 87. I know that the tuners are setup to run with higher octane. Just curious on your thoughts here. waste of money or not?

Waist of money to put 91 or 92 octane if your car runs on 87 or 89.
In My Opinion...

I found the gms cai part# 467-410040 at JEGS listed for 359.99.
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...egoryId=108222

JR, would you consider a discount for TMS members on a group buy?

I think you better re-read the Jeg's advert - 359.99 is for satin and I have been quoting everyone 350.00 for polished

Correct the satin is 359 and the polished is 484 at JEGS.
What would you offer the the satin one for here?
Seems to me JEGS has quite a mark up (134 more) for the polished or
that is a really great deal your offering.

Since JR. never responded to my question, I called Granatelli's(805-486-6644) today as spoke to Rene, ext. 23, who informed that he would sell me the 410040-P for a 2007 Mustang GT at a considerable discount of $425.00. That's $4 2 5. 0 0 American money. JR., how would a poor folk, like myself, get this product at the $350.00 price. From what Rene quoted, you must be giving it away at $350.00. I would appricate a response. Thank you.

Best thing to do is call and ask to talk to JR.

Believe me, I had gone through this as well and I found the best thing to do is contact JR directly and order it from him...He will usually inform his #1 (Gordon) to make the sale via email (and a copy usually goes to you). I think JR needs to set up a TMS pricing for all of his products, either in single purchases or batch purchases and in this way, stop all of the guessing. That way, if you call and talk to Rene or anybody and inform them you are ordering TMS-Throttle body, they will have that special price already at hand. This would make things a lot easier. I have a buddy that wants to order a few things but now I will ask him to contact JR personally as well. JR, if you see this one, think about a plan of purchase so that everybody will be on the same page. Just make it easier for everybody concerned. Also, jegs has it at about 500.00 (after their handling fee) so it is a discount of sorts, but far from the 350.00 quoted by JR. (he is basically giving the polished for a better price than the non polished at Jegs and other vendors).
Oh, he does have another post with his cai/mas and exhaust system at 650.00 and the t-body for another amount (I think 275.00 but I don't remember off hand). At under a grand, great price for all of these mods (and the exhaust does not drone).

I am offering a deal and when Jeg's sees it they will be pissed at me. So that is why our deal ends at the end of the month. Satin is $300

I didn't mean to sound rude... that may have come across that way. You've "sold" me. Either you're a great salesman, or you have a great product. I'm betting on the latter. Thanks!

Well, I just got off the phone with Morgan and ordered the 410040-P for my 2007 that is scheduled for delivery next week. Cost- $350.00 plus $16.50 S/H. Not bad if it does what JR said it'll do. It should arrive about the same time. To be honest, I really wanted the performance of a CAI with a tune, however, was worried about the warranty issue- especially now with the 5 yr/60,000 miles on 07s. I didn't want to mess that up... Looks like I got my cake and will eat it too.

I've already got my black bullitt wheels and exhaust sitting in boxes in my basement. I'm ready to got now... I'll keep the "post" posted after the install. Thanks JR! Tell Morgan, who was great to deal with, that I said thanks as well.
