We all know Don and Ski are not JR Granatelli fans and never will be. How about we all agree to disagree and move on to more constructive posts about our cars and ways to improve them.

I am sure that they have knowledge about a lot of things (Superchargers, etc), BUT they came to this post with no facts on the products and simply proceeded to attack the vendor on a personal level. I for one don't have any interest in that type of stuff and I think most would agree. It does make for some interesting reading but it tends to get off the track and away from why we are here, to learn about and evaluate products. Even the personal attacks had no warranty. It's like saying I hate JR because he is Italian so therefore his products must be crap...All I want to see is a good evaluation of looks, form and function by people that have the knowledge. If my Butt dyno fells like it's got more horse and a real dyno confirms it, that's what counts. If I like the sound of an exhaust but don't have it, I can at least comment on the exhaust sound because I have heard it. I wouldn't comment on something if I had no idea so 3000 posts could be worthless if 2999 are off the subject. I don't think it is too much to ask people to stay on topic. I can understand this if your 13 or 14 but some of these guys have been around for a long time and should no better.
Bravo sir, bravo
Jeez, I'm gonna have to skip lunch for a month so I can buy some of this stuff. I really like the Single Bar STB and the polished CAI for starters. The video of HarleyBills' exhaust was awesome so now I want that too. I swear I remember saying I wasn't gonna mod this thing when I bought it but, then again I was just out of the hospital from back surgery(lots of vicodin) when I picked it up.
is it possible to see pics of the satin and polished side by side? I'm very interested in it, but want to see if the polished version is worth 50$. That 300-350 price is still good until the end of this month correct?

I received my 410040-9 yesterday as Morgan promised(actually one day sooner). Not bad seeing how I live about 3,000 miles away. I really don't know what all the sniveling is about.
My 2 cents:The packaging was fine- who cares as long as it was delivered in "one piece", as it was... I did notice, however, that the polished finished was not what I had expected. It's not bad, but definitely pitted as mentioned in an earlier thread; and maybe not worth an additional $50.00. Don't get me wrong, I still beleive that I got a good deal at $350.00. All other components were fine- no craked heat shield as some have experienced. Also, the above picture shows a red cap over the end of the air filter. There was no red cap. Just a plain black rubber cap. I was disappointed as I thought that it would have been a nice feature that would have finished "it" off. Hey JR, what's up with that? Overall though, I'm please.
I called the dealer today/everyday. My Mustang should be here on or before 8/26. This will be my first mod on date of delivery. I'll keep you posted. I only hope Morgan, or whomever, calibrated it to the 2007 model as advised.
If not...
JR, What's the scoop on the air filters. I've had the oiled type before(K&N). How are these cared for? There were no instructions as far as cleaning. How often do you clean them, and with what? Soap and water? How long do the last? Are they replaceable, if so, with what? Can you use an oiled filter with your system, i.e., K&N, or would it corrupt the sensor? Would it fit? If JR goes into a justifiable hiatus, can someone else please inform? THANK YOU! T-3 & counting...

The red cap was a cover we made for our car. You will note the other car in the same post you referenced has the black cap. If I sent out a red cap with every filter then I would be getting complaints from guys with blue cars . Granatelli pioneered the dry filter technology for MAF cars in 1996 now 8 years later companies like AEM claim they invented it whatever. These filters do not require oiling. Just wash them with soap and water whenever they look dirty to you. What is great about our filter material is that you can oil it if you choose. While I don't recommend it, we know some of you are K&N-aholics and think oiling is a must. If you feel the need, just make sure after it is oiled that you roll the filter in a towel and let it sit for a few hours. This should soak all the excess oil out of the filter so you do not contaminate the MAF sensor. For those that actually believe the manufacture - - just soap it up, rinse it off, let it dry and let'r rip.
The filter should last forever but yes we can sell replacements
We have worked with 3 different foundries to try and address pitting in the casting but it is the nature of the beast when you polish the part. The gases within the part bubble. We are experimenting with a new procedure. We tried chroming as well but that cost even more and looked chrome. We do our best
