Granatelli MAF--where are you????

Well I had ordered the Granatelli MAF/CAI unit from Summit Racing a couple of weeks ago. Part num was GRN-80064619. I just went out to Summit's web site and I no longer see the part number there nor can I find this for the 05/06 Mustang. It was supposed to be here early next month but now I'm wondering what's going on. It's not a good thing when parts are no longer listed, especially from a big unit like Summit. Has anybody heard anything or know what's going on. PLus response back from GMS has been less than steller. I think the person responsible for answering emails must have been fired and taken all of the MAF's with him....

Bill, I spoke to someone from Summit racing today and found out the reason why Summit pulled the Granatelli MAF/CAI unit off their website..It appears that for right now, Summit has decided to place his unit on hold until an agreement is reached between Summit Racing and Granatelli Motor Sports..And was also informed that Summit's decision had absolutely nothing to do with the quality of his product, it's strictly a business related issue only...Anyway hope you find this info helpful..

Yah, they need to get on the ball and start selling the CAI/MAF. I'd like to see some more reviews on it.

http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/05mustang/slot-inMAFsensor.htm I think you had trouble finding the part because you plugged in the GRN prefix. The "GRN" prefix is only used by Summit Racing. 80064619 is a special meter we offer.

The easiest way to accomplish your goal is part number 8006419-1 this is just the calibrated MAF electronics that plugs into your existing intake or my recommendation would be
http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/images/artlr/410040small.jpg
to purchase part number 410040.
http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/05mustang/coldairinduction.htm This part also allows for Nitrous input or water/methanol injection

This most be a mistake - I will call Summit Racing Monday - I just called them and tried to order 410040 and they do show it on hold - weird Jegs has them in stock - they use prefix 467. so to order you would enter 467-410040

Hey JR, now I am really confused. I am looking at my order sheet at it says part number GRN-80064619. It says that it's on backorder until July 17th. Attached is a screen shot of what I ordered (when it was online at Summit)...I took the screen shot just in case. So is this the Maf sensor with the Cai or not? As you can see, it says "includes cold air system".

Spoke to Summit Racing this morning and they say it will be handled today. However please fell free to contact GMS directly for faster service until they can get it all figured out - Ask for Morgan or JR

What will be handled by Summit and Faster service than what?....I called and Morgan tells me to call summit and have them change the order to the 410040-p (which still isn't on their website). Did I miss something here? The original part number came out of the GMS catalog and that's what I ordered. Summit's site showed that as the part and that it came with the CAI. Now afte a month of waiting I have to go back and re-order a different part which is really the cai with the mas instead of the mas with the cai? This part was 360.00 the way I ordered it...What do you want to bet it will be a whole lot more the other way around. (frustration coming out)... Somehow I just know when I go back up there Summit won't have a friggin clue either.

I am sorry for the confussion but the summit website sold you a 80064619 which spelled out black plastic per your attached link before
and what you wanted is 410040-P. You keep saying it is not on our site but I think you are mistaken
http://www.granatellimotorsports.com...rinduction.htm

Isn't this what you are talking about? All the part numbers are there.

I am happy to sell the part to you directly but you will have to get a credit from Summit for whatever you ordered. Additionaly sorry I missed your call I was in ameeting - I guess Morgan misunderstoof you a bit - I am here to help so try again

Hey Jr, I just finished sending you an email explaining most of everything. If you look closely, I don't say that YOUR site doesn't have the part, I keep saying how worthless Summit Racings site is for your products. You need to go there and just type in granatelli for the search and they go down the list for 05 mustang GT. Very little is showing up. 410040 is not an option either. I am somewhat curious as to if Summit put the order in to GMS, why hasn't somebody from there either filled the order or contacted Summit stating that it's an invalid order? The ship date went from 7/7 to 7/16 but I just assume their program is upping the date automatically. I just want to make sure that something like this doesn't happen for the next guy and that I get the parts that I really want. I will contact you again via phone and discuss the options. Hopefully speaking in person will geter done...

Thanks Jr and GMS...

I finally talked to JR and everything was resolved. Basically cancelled the order from Summit Racing (may never buy anything from there again) and made the order directly with GMS (which will ship today and not be sitting for a month in limbo land via Summit)... At least it's raining today in Ohio so the drags will be cancelled for tonight and that will give me time to put the throttle body and MAS/CAI on before it gets run at the track, which is what I was hoping for. Finally.

Glad we could get this handled
