Yes, I ordered the throttle body as well, however, I'm supposed to be getting mine anodized red, which I'm hoping will not only be functional, but should look pretty nice with the Ford plenum cover and the polished CAI

As far as exhaust, I fully endorse my Corsa's

Corsa is a nice system - 2 times the cost and no more HP gain but still it is very shiney

I love the way they sound, and I don't have to worry about ANY drone. Was worth it in my opinion. Also, I don't think $585 with free shipping is all that more expensive than some of the others.

Exhaust can ship today. The only hold back at this point is Hitachi and we can do 20 a day. Sorry - call me so I can check on your order
Just thought I would start this with an excerpt from GMS: The customer is first : Most interesting.

Hey JR, well I called and got to talk to the second string again (asked to talk to you). At least I got a tracking number and when I checked I saw that it was shipped on friggin tuesday the 1st, 1 week after YOU said it would ship, which again was already 3 weeks late. I can't believe I wasn't even in the shipment you mentioned that went out last thursday. It would have been nice to have it overnighted after all of this. You should never promise something if you won't personally follow up on it. Now I have to wait till next week (7th) to get it, almost 1 month to the day after I ordered it and I actually started this mess in June.

Ok, One last question and this is on the exhaust (which the second string couldn't answer either)... Is the exhaust an axle back or does it start from just past the x-pipe (the same position as the stock slide clamp) just under the driver seat. This is where the borla started and I want to make sure that's where this exhaust starts before I order it. The part in the catalog says 2.5" cat-back exhaust (GM-ES0525--mirror polished tips and mufflers). Is this what your special is for or is it something else, not in the catalog. How about free shipping on the exhaust. It might make me feel better : ). Oh, second stringer didn't know the price you were selling the exhaust for either.

Ok, never mind about the info on the muffler. I looked again at the other post and saw the info....

Intake and Exhaust

The 410040 and 410040-P have been selling like wild fire. So in the words of Emirl, “let’s kick it up a notchâ€

GMS polished cold air intake and GMS 2.5†cat back system for $650.00. These parts require no reflash and they are all a direct bolt on.

http://www.granatellimotorsports.com...S0525small.jpg

Mufflers and tips are mirror finish polished so it looks great from any angle. Sound is awesome

You can expect a 35hp gain with these 2 mods. Add a billet t-body for $275.00

Blue is shown but parts shipped will be natural in color (satin)

Any better pics of the tips (like maybe mounted?) on the mufflers? Are they rolled or just slash-cut like the stock tips?

I already have Flow Masters, but for some reason I'm getting much more drone with them installed on the '07 than I ever did on the '05.

I like the looks of your intake tube also, and the lack of a needed retune to make it work. Even though I've already got a C&L (waiting on a new tune to install it) I'm considering at least the new throttle body, and maybe the whole intake/exhaust package.

Anyone install this exhaust yet and take pics on their car? Or a video with sound?

Thanks.

Bill - you are correct and I am sorry for your frustration. I do make myself available and Morgan is anything but 2nd string. I own the place but he runs it. If I give you the system at cost I can't pay for shipping too. Please call me and make you they put you through to me - I told everyone that you would be calling - have me paged if i am not at my desk.

I totally goofed - I am trying to be too many things to too many people and it is starting to show - I promise to make it up to you - just call me

Hey Jr, didn't mean to make Morgan sound second RATE, just the second STRING behind you. He just didn't know what prices you were quoting us and he wasn't sure where the cat back started...He sounded like it was just over the axle which made it sound more like the axel back type. He even went out to see on a car but the car wasn't there so I didn't order at that point.
Anyway, now this is what I call a good attempt to show that the customer is important. GMS may have one of the best products out there and is bending over backwards to get it out to the public (US), especially on the TMS site. He has got to be getting a little wired due to some of the negativity that is displayed from time to time but he has held it together pretty well and I still believe he has a quality product that will put up numbers at least near to what the claims are. (and wouldn't that be great).. We all know that motors vary from car to car, even with the same equipment. As was stated earlier, many people on TMS have ordered these units and within the next week we should all start seeing reports. I know at least mine should be here this coming monday and I intend to put it on then and do some test rides. I hope to shortly there after, do a dyno to see just where I'm at, though I won't know where I started at. (Oh, JR, I will call you shortly...)

Well, I think the guy is on the up and up. Normally, people at his level won't troll the message boards giving updates. I am sure he is a busy guy and I do plan to order one at some point but first, a birthday present for the wife. Unfortunatly, a CAI isn't on her list. I will be watching for some results which I am sure will be positive.

True To The Customer

Ok Guys, it was JR that I talked to this time and not another sales rep or associate. He was the real deal (I know because I had met him in person and recognize the voice). He was true to his word, admitted that he had chewed off more than he could handle and compensated me well for the extra time involved in processing the order. I think it was mainly due to the really good response he is getting on the product and the demand was a tad more than they expected. It does happen but there are not a lot of companies that the owner/engineer personally gets involved and as was said, has scanned this site and given a good accounting of his products...Remember, he was a racer and engineer and what better combo than to combine those experiences in products. The MAS was designed with the originators of the current mustang electronics, unlike ANY OTHER unit which is why he can get MORE air (and not fake it with a smaller tube at the MAS as many other non tuners do). The product will arrive for many TMS'ers this weekend or the beginning of next week and it will be very interesting to start seeing the results. Has this been inconvenient? Yep. Did he try and please me (the customer)?? You bet!! Now all I can say is, "see you next week with the report on the product".

I got impatient and went with the Airaid thinking I will get an SCT soon but I'm still interested in this. I remember I found this CAI almost 2 months ago at their site and actually called the Granatelli store asking about it. The salesman was ready to sell me the non-polished with MAS CAI for $300. I'm sure at that time they had a few laying around cause no one had heard of them. I'm wondering now if I should have just gone ahead then and done it, but I couldn't find anyone that had even heard of it. Let us know how it goes. I have a feeling it will be a top notch CAI.

PS: JR...you're funny!...you keep calling it CIA. Are your people working for the CIA undercover! <g>
On the other hand maybe that's short for 'Cold Intake Air'. I guess that's valid too.

I'm getting more and more serious about getting this, especially since I found out that Diablo doesn't have the new CAL_ID's in their latest update yet. So even though I was able to get a new tune file from C&L, I still can't upload it because the Predator doesn't recognize my CAL-ID, so I can't even get the stock backup going. DiabloSport's tech support did tell be that a new update should be out in a week or so (hopefully), but there wasn't a specific date set for it.

I'd still like to see a little more on the exhaust, like close-ups of the tips, but I'm kinda leaning towards the intake with MAS, and throttle body. Now to just save up enough money to order it.

Issues with CAI on 2007's

I got my 2007 GT Premium Vert in on the night of 2 Aug, and on the morning of 3 Aug my Granatelli CAI arrived. I eagerly attempted to installed it, but quickly determined that contray to popular belief, there ARE changes to the 2007. The CAI went on without any problems, and is a very well made piece. However, as soon as I pulled out of my driveway, the car immediately went into limp home mode. There are differences in the 2007 programming, it appears, that prevents the CAI in its current configuration from working on the 2007's. Needless to say I wasn't too happy about the CAI not working on my brand new 2007, but, I called Granatelli, and spoke with Renee and Jim about my situation. Both gentlemen were very accomadating, and called me back numerous times to see if the issue could be rectified.

They are going to test a 2007 on Monday to update the programming on the CAI to make it compatible with the 2007. Let's keep our fingers crossed, and I hope the updated programming for the CAI works. The company was willing to do whatever I wanted them to do to make it right, and never tried to blow me off or dodge responsibility, so I will stick with them and give them a try to make the CAI work.
