Jr, have you done any dyno's with the CAI/MAF/Fuego? I have an '06 Auto and was thinking about this combo w/possibly some gears.

Fuego is all new and not shipping as of yet. We only do the work in house

I see your CAI/MAF and Fuego individually produce similar numbers. I wonder if there is any difference between using a K & N panel filter vs Stock filter with the Fuego. I would also like to see a run using both your CAI/MAF and Fuego on an otherwise stock car. I know you don't have the time to satisfy every request that's posted on these boards, just curious. Thanks for response to my initial question.

It came in last night- My 2007 Stang. As promised, my first mod was the 410040-P. It finishes off the engine bay and looks great.

It took about 45 minutes for the install. The biggest problem I had was getting the silicon adapter over the tube. I found it best to thread the clamp all the way out, wrap it around the tube, then re-thread. Trying to slide it over the tube with the clamp in place was difficult. The heatshield went on easy, however, at first it seemed off centered but remembered that it has to following the lines of the hood. The filter went on easy, as well as the hose and electronic adapter. Battery disconnet NOT required. Finally, performance: There is definitely and increase in hp and tq. Couldn't tell you exactly how much, but it's there and you can feel it! It was calibrated for the 07 as Gordan promised. So... My conclusion is this: It's a great product IMO with good gains and no tune. Yes, it's true, a CAI getting good performane without a tune.

I have a few things to say here about JR. It seems to me that there a few out there that are pretty critical about his products. Everyone has an opinion, I guess. What I want to point out is that he is one of the few vendors on this forum that actively support and participate in the discussions here.

I've found him to be a stand-up guy, responsive, and stands behind his products. How many vendors can you say that about? I can count them on one hand (Doug at Bama, Brent at Brenspeed, and JR come to mind). So, when you get ready to ding someone like JR, why don't you think twice before you lower the hammer? We need guys like him.

Just providing some food for thought...

Is anyone looking for a new leather shift boot for their 88-93 Mustang? I have 5000 and I would love to sell a few - $25.00 each

I wasn't sure I wanted to comment, but since I literally LOL'ed, and sprayed sunflower shells across my keyboard, I had to respond. Ewwwww

I must say, three days and three hundred miles- my cheeks hurt from smiling. GRANATELLI ROCKS! La Costa Nostra of performance parts. All you naaa-sayers, buy the product, then make an assessment... Major props to JR and his crew.

After reading this entire thread I'm sold...........problem is that with all that reading I'm confused regarding who/how to get one. I have a bone stock 2006 GT and I NEED to place an order before the end of month sale is over. If I remember correctly I should get it directly from JR (?), who do I call/email/send smoke signals to? Please help

Thanks in advance by the way

Neil, call 805-486-6644 and ask for JR or Morgan. Be sure to mention you're calling about the deal on themustangsource.com.

Thanks, Clint. I placed my order over the phone with Morgan. It's my first performance mod, I'm anxious to get it on.

It should be noted that sales on this item have more then quadrupled in part because everyone is trying to beat the buzzer. With that we have gone into a 1 week back order issue. However rather then close the sale we will continue to accept orders and ship first in first out. All order should ship by September 6 in any case

With over 4,000 views on this thread that does not surprise me. Heck, you keep this up you won't need distributors!

D' Agostino Racing or Granatelli screwed up my order for the Polished WITH MAF. When D' Agostino Racing called it in, the work order shows (NO MAF), so I got a nice piece of modern art until someone corrects my problem! Needless to say I'm a little ticked off as this was my birthday present that I wanted to install this weekend!

** Talked with Derrik at D'Agostino Racing and have corrected the problem. Seems that there is a misprint on their website with the incorrect part number for the CAI w/MAF. They are going to overnight me a MAF on Tuesday. Darned holiday weekends! :-p
Also, Mr. Granatelli, you need to work with your shipping department on packaging the plastic housing better. Mine was also cracked like I've read other's report. Seems they put it in the bottom of the box, then everything else on top of it. There was A LOT of tissue paper, but that had no chance of preventing the housing from getting cracked. I suggest a seperate box for it in the big box, or at least some of that spray in foam with the housing first covered in sheet plastic. **

Is it worth the wait?

I ordered my Granatelli CAI 18 days ago and I am still waiting. I called them today and they said it should ship sometime next week as they are still waiting on a shipment.

For those of you that have this CAI installed, is it worth the wait?

I am considering cancelling the order and calling Bamachips or Brenspeed.

Opinions??
