I am actually taking my car to the dealer on Monday, and picking it up that night, so hope to have the system installed when I get it back. Funny you should mention the "language" issue. Someone, (they???) edited my response from an "A" followed by two dollar signs ($$) (I figured that would suffice) to "hiney" How funny is that??? Anyway, back to biness...after taking a few spins with the new setup, I do have to say it seems a little sluggish in the lower RPM range. And I hate to say, I've either gotten used to the new exhaust note very quickly or, dare I say, it is a bit more subtle than I'd hoped for. But darn, those tips look nice!

 

The sluggishness will go away, just give it time. You really don't think they're that loud? :scratch:

Different ears I guess . They're alot louder than the Magnaflows and Magnapacks that I've heard.

Maybe longtube headers, off-road x-pipe and SLP's are in your future

 

I need to listen to it next to a stock GT...my wife says it's a lot louder...as far as some people saying it sounds like rice...no way at all it sounds like that...period!

 

Let your wife drive, you need to be standing behind the car to get the real effect.

 

Give us a sound clip! let your wife DRIVE off or do some passes, and record them for us...Im sure it will do good to many.

 

I think because the mufflers are at the back of the car you don't realize just how loud they are.

Do what I did, get someone to rev your car for you while you stand behind it.

Then post your thoughts

 

Or try driving through a tunnel at WOT with the windows down!

 

Oh ya!!! :worship: :worship: I love the sound from my FRPP Exhaust when I light it up in an underpass!!

 

Oh, yeah... sometimes I forget how loud they are till I nail it under an overpass!

 

I've got a stretch that I use on the way home that's not an underpass, but a narrow access road for the freeway. It's a 12ft wall on one side and 2-3 story buildings on the other.

Yeah, that sounds fun..maybe you all could take a ride out to Music City and let me show you a good time...a bit of a drve, espicially from out west. One place that's really awesome is Gatlinburgh/Pigion Forge in east TN. They usually have several car events (See "Daytona Beech Bike week on four wheels in the Great Smokey Mountains...and the locals love it...mosly. And there is a ton of fun (non-car) stuff the do for the rest of the family. But there's nothin' like taking over a tourisp strip with a bunch o' hot-rods. Awesome cabins, too. I would love to put together some info for those of us that would be interested.

My wife just left for a week long business trip, she's usually gone M-Th to visit one of her practices, so I will try to hook up w/ a buddy on some sound clips of the FRPP...it's slowly growing on me...from some other threads I've read, a good CAI will really make the exhaust come alive more. That;s next on my list, but I'm thinking of some frpp shorties too. Anyone have shorties installed??? Big difference??? Waste of $$$??? I guess my short list of mods goes about like this: Any and all feedback is appreciated. The last hot rod I had was 20+ years ago in high school. '69 bick block Camaro...Edelbrock, Holley, Crane, Mallory, B&M turbo400 lot's of Moroso chrome, NO COMPUTER...bottom line, this old dog needs to learn some new tricks.

Actually, I believe it's every 10db is an apparent doubling of loudness. That's what I seem to remember from my audio days.

 

Romping through the deck park tunnel can be amusing! Well it would be more amusing if there were fewer semi's and old beat up cars and pickups driving through it.

 

Oh yeah, lot's of nice echo effects in there I drive through it everyday!
