I would at least hope they'd throw out details on it...

Otherwise they could be losing people to other kits...

Whipple has it on their site...it's pretty much going to be just like any other twin screw out there. Seems very complete, though...spark plugs, 38 pound injectors, etc. Available with a canned tune or as a tuner kit.

http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/...sp?ProdID=1208

I got all the time in the world...I have confidence this delay is for a reason.

Here's the bad news Bingo. They have had the kit on their site for a year and a half! First it was listed at ridiculous HP levels and now that they are approaching production, they have finally brought it down a bit (Oh, and raised the price).

And the ford FR4 kit might be lower/safer numbers.
Thats what I want, not the numbers that whipple itself is pulling

Supercharging

Since the safe limit of rearwheel HP for the Mustang GT with only changing to 39lb injectors, 90mm mass air and shorter pullies is between 415-440rwhp, any of the twin screws can get you there easily get you there. Why wait for the whipple? Erik

Yeah, plus more money will be saved up!

Plus buying a Ford/Whipple blower keeps the car a bit more OEM than if you went out and got a KB or something...just something little.

That's a very good point. Ford won't put their name on anything that doesn't look pretty good, so you can bet the Whipple will have more OE type details. This is really high on my list as well, which is why I went with the Roush kit. I gave up ultimate power-making potential for some OE fit and finish. A pulley change to 7psi will get me to the safe limits of the factory engine (which I don't intend to replace) so it was worth it to me.

I emailed a them few questions and heres there answers:

1. Will the Intercooled kit come with a GT500 fuel pump? are some outside vendors not including the pump?Yes I believe it is coming with that fuel pump in the complete kit not with the tuner kit.
2. Will the Supercharger have that beautiful blower whine that allot of us crave? You will hear the blower whine at WOT sounds awesome but at idle sounds like a sleeper nobody will know it's there till you hit that throttle.
3.Is the suggested retail price of the black Intercooled kit still $5,999?The price will be finalized once closer to the release date.
4. Is the kit available through Whipple Industries? It will be available threw us and Ford themselves
5. I noticed one vendor advertising with a Diablo tuner instead of the Ford Flash tool, Is this even a good idea?Just depends on how good the person is at tuning.

First, you are lucky Whipple answered you so quickly. But (in reference to your question #1) I am skeptical that they are going to get this thing out on the first. Here is my reasoning:
1). Whipple's history of pushing back the release date.
2). If it really is to be released in the next ten days, why don't they have pricing finalized?

Just my $.02

Follow UP

I posted this about 10 days back, you may have missed it in the thread if you did not read the whole string:

I stopped in at the Ford Racing trailer in Tulsa last week. I inquired about when Ford Racing will have the Whipple out. The rep said he would be very surprised to see it this year. He further stated it is not a problem with the supercharger. The rep basically said Whipple is producing as many as they can and can't meet their current demand let alone the demands the 2005/06/07 Mustang would create.

mwaahahaha... I just noticed the new custom title. It's ironic that I'm not a fan of either the stock rods or Chuck Norris.

p.s. I'm pretty sure these new rods will work better for me.

very true- heres my 98 with the Ford SVO blower:

it usually took people a while to spot it, the snout is all that gave it away to non-mustangers.

I read in my last issue of Hot Rod magazine, the one that features the 07 Shelby on the cover, that the part number for the GT supercharger from Ford Racing is M-6066-463V for black and will cost $4995 or M-6066-463P for polished that cost $5600. Furthermore this is the same kit applied to the GT500. Does anyone have this combination yet? And how do you like it??
