Ponies on The Run (Again)
Happy Easter!
What I did last Easter.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8ulW5-lklk
Time sure flies!
Tom- I'm not trying to convince you into buying one, just telling you guys that for ME, it's the perfect opportunity to upgrade since everything is drained and tore down. What if I were to say that it's a $50 upgrade, would anyone here consider it? Hell yeah!! Believe me, I've spent more $$ on stuff that do less.
.... So take your 195 and !!!

Happy Easter.
Sorry Bill but I'm siding with everyone else that the $500 could've gone towards an intercooler which would give you more power as well as making the whole setup safer.

Anyone looking for an even BETTER deal on D-specs.
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...56#post5533956
Go figure I wait all this time to pull the trigger on D-specs and a week after installing this comes up.

And my set-up better be safe, or else I'm blaming Tom2.

What? Why? Wow your just spending money like a mad man aren't you? Driving around with the Eibach Pro's seems like a chore. Not sure you'll clear Kevin's driveway with those things and your chin spoiler. You sure Chris will want to deal with hassle of being that low?
Sorry for all the negativity lately. I guess were all just looking out for you and your $$$.
EDIT:
With all that said I think the Eiback Pro's have the best looking drop. It's just a matter of willing to live with the trade off.

Appreciate the thought, but sometimes you gotta say, wtf and go for it.
On the Pro kit, it's in anticipation for my upcoming 20" wheels. I've been doing some research behind the scenes and I'm discovering that 20's with Ultralites just have too much of a wheel well gap (IMO). Coupled with the Pro's, it looks just right.
If the D-Specs do what I think they can do, the harshness of the 20's and Pro kit will be smoothed out to an acceptable level (to me).
The deal that you found for $150 for the Pro's with camber bolts, I just can't pass up, especially if I can sell mine for $100+. When I do the D-Spec install in a couple weeks, it'll be (again) the opportune time for the swap.
If Jed can make it into Kevin's garage, should be non-issue with the Pro kit. The Roush's front spoiler sits a good 1 1/2" lower than my CDC.
So that's the reason behind my madness.

I think the Pro Kits are the best lowering springs on the market. If I hadn't got such an awesome deal on my Steeda Sports, I would have gone with the Pro Kits. Just one look at MTAS ride and you'll know what I mean.

A 255/45-18 will have the same wheel gap as a 295/30-20, or a 255/35-20. All of those are 27.0 inches high and will have the exact same wheel gap.

Yup, PM'd him right after the first guy replied, not sure if he wants both or one.
Hope I get them, its one good deal!

Bill - you're a madman Crazier than Jed
Hopefully you end up getting the pro kit. Besides, it's not that bad of a sacrifice; Your car is not a daily driver.
+1 on what Tom said. As long as you aim for a 27" diameter you should have no increase in wheel gap. Brian, chime in on this Well either way, it's one good deal. If you don't like them you can go back to the ultra lites and still brake even I'm sure.
Me... I'll stick to 18's and comfort
Chris is going to have his hands full

Well IMO, the pro-kit is better looking, the FRPPs are the same spring. The wheel gap is what I have been painfully trying to keep the same while shopping for a 18" wheel. As far as gap couldn't you get a tire that would solve that without the springs ?
You will definitely have to get used to teh chin being lower than what it is now for you. If I can get in & out of Kevin's driveway you can, still expect to scrape in many driveways. The other thing is that with the additional drop you will have to have the D-Specs too, but you are doing that so it's not a big deal
For me 20" are just too big and will weigh too much. Granted some wheel look better in 20s they're just not for me from what I've seen.

I love being the genesis to other people's mods I'd go lower if I could but all of these step curves and speed bumps out here really put a damper on good looks and functionality. Right now I'm pretty pleased where my wheels sit in relation to the wheel wells/ aka body of the car. It's strange sometimes it's perfect most of the time seems like the gaps a little bigger other days. I think when I have a passenger (usually Kevin) and a full load of fuel I'm in the zone. I wish they made coilovers that you could adjust via electrical or air on the fly for any condition. Maybe in 2010 Stangs will have active suspension who knows we can only dream. Hopefully by then I'm driving a Z06 anyway!

what's the point of pouring that amount of cash into the car to have it for only a couple of years ?
