Ouch George, but I can say I have done that also. A tiring but rewarding job my friend.

My little ones (2 gurls) are now graduated from college and one married off and the other just engaged. (more $)

Considering giving this ipod adapter a shot. If I doesn't work I can always return it. I really hope it works so I can completely cross the avic off the list.

I think some people complained about a battery drain issue with the PIE adaptor, but that was a while ago. But if you can return it cant hurt to try it out

I just bought the iPod adapter (the older one) from one of the TMS members that had it installed in his car and didn't have any problems... I did some searching and as long as you had the latest firmware (chip), the problem was fixed... The linked unit is a new unit (which I am assuming replaces the one I just bought), so I am *assuming* it will work just fine!

I think that was with a different model. PIE has actually made quite a few. I know I had one of their first models two years ago. It was easy to install but the problem was the module would loose connection with the shaker for some reason. So you had to have it accessible from the side sail panel so you could unplug and plug it back in. So I'm hoping two years later they got their **** straight. Good thing about this one is you can control it from the ipod plus it charges the ipod.

How long have you had it installed for?

I haven't even got it yet! I should get it Monday... But the other guy had it installed for about 5-6 months...

That is a nice feature! The old one lets you control from the iPod too (I like that better), but doesn't charge... But I plan on putting it in my center console, so I *will* be able to charge it from in there if I needed to...

Canton & Meziere stuff ordered!

Got the Canton coolant and P/S from Blue Oval Performance for $229 shipped (after some serious price matching).

And ordered a chrome Meziere 16# cap for $40 shipped (I know.. ). Can't use the MGW because the Canton accepts a cam-twist cap, not screw on. You know me, I can't bring myself to installing a Stant radiator cap from Autozone.

I'm planning on taking the Mothers Power Ball to the Canton tanks for a mirror finish. No clear, will just have to polish them every once in a while.
