Here's the PJ pins that I tooks pics of from the Carlsbad Meet.
Hard to see, but you can make out where the cable end gets attached under the radiator cover. The cables then get fed thru the front grille, up to the hood pin.

Since the 70 Mach 1's had the non-lanyard type hood pins, I think I would go that route if I were to get them. They still look good with the hood down. At car shows you'll still see the pins and holes in the hood (if you look up)... and they are authentic.

Not that I'm getting them any time soon.

My wife's job is in jeopardy. Well, it's a family owned business and they are selling it. The new people may very well keep everybody, but you never know (they say they will). I'm planning on the worst (them keeping everybody for a few months to get a feel for it - then bringing in their own people).

So, until we know more info, we're going to watch the spending and pay off some bills. Luckily, they aren't that high at all, but we would rather have none than a little.

Luckily this didn't happen last year at this time!!

Same here. Until I get some hard measurements, I won't be ordering them any time soon either.

Hope things work out at the wifie's job. Guess you can always hook her up with a job at the 'Happiest Place on Earth'!

Thanks! But I'm probably being much more pessimistic than I need to be. Cutting back on going out to eat so much will probably help more than not buying the occasional Mustang part here and there. Looking at both cars, there's really nothing I want right now, and definitely nothing that I need.

Which is good... and I've worked out a 3 month plan to be totally out of debt. I don't count cars and house as debt... you can sell those if you really needed to. Credit cards are debt (can't sell those on eBay... although, I've never tried ).

Tom sorry to hear about your wife's job situation. Good thing is looks like you have a gameplan already so you'll be alright.

That's tough to do. That means no more Chilie's. Besides, don't unnecessarily punish the rest of the family by having them eat food that you cooked.

And yeah, having a Mustang (with mods no less) is all luxury, not a necessity.

My front bumper is showing signs of the 15,000+miles (mostly pitting from bugs and rocks) but even then it's not that bad and only noticeable to me when I'm washing or waxing. Which makes me think that even if the chin spoiler starts to suffer the same fate it won't be so bad. My only concern now is with chipping or flaking that I've seen on body kit's and other painted chin spoilers at car shows. Although I think the cause is bad paint jobs, a combo of the car being extremely lowered and having a very low hanging front facia/spoiler, or complete carelessness. So I With that said what do you guys think? Should I or shouldn't I? I'll look for some pics of black stangs with painted chins and post them shortly.
I type the novel above and I only get a response from Bill???

OK.. I'll bite...
I'm entirely on the fence on this one. Your car being black the unpainted spoiler looks great. They also look great painted. On a non-black car I think the painted version looks much better.

Now if you're concerned about the small chips & dents I think you might be well served by the 3M clear-bra product. It won't stop the big stuff, but what will ? That said it's probably be a good investment for the vertical parts of the front bumper but I don't know if they make it pre-cut well enough to do it without a lot of work.

I did happen to see one at the Knott's show and besides from standing directly over the car and catching the seam I couldn't really tell (A picture would have helped huh? not like I wasn't carrying a camera). All of this is quite a bit of work for a painted spoiler IMO.

The good thing about the unpainted version is that it matches the matte finish of the shaker.
