I want my stang to be about 700 or so when Im done..in like 2015, lol
Bill, try a Spec 3 or 3+. Stay away from the 2's is what I've been told. And if you decide to go Centerforce, try PMing anthony05gt about his setup.
Otherwise, just opt for the best route and install a twin disk setup like the GT500s have.

Your car is gonna be so dialed in it's gonna be hard to give it to Chris

Ray, thank you again for letting us share the beautiful moment.
Oh Luis.

If this dude had posted this before I got my tires I'd be all over it. Especially after seeing Brians setup.
Where the ----- is everybody? Looks like I'm home alone.

The 20s look OK, but the profile on the tires is waaaaay too small. It looks like the Shelby Super Svt, er Snake at Knotts. Too 4x4ish for me. The tires are way too small for the huge fenderwell the S197 has.
and if you're getting a different clutch you might want to consider replacing the stock throwout bearing from what I've been reading.
I gotta take a moment to Thank Doug from Bamachips. There was/is a problem with my X-Cal2 that was causing issues during the tuning of my car. Called SCT 3 times kept getting the run-around and finally they told me to call Bama for whatever reason. Got Doug and he too didn't understand why SCT wanted me to go through him. However he took it upon himself to contact my current tuner and they worked it out that I now have a RMA for SCT. If Doug hadn't done that I would have said F-k it and smashed it with a hammer, bought a new Diablo predator or new X-Cal3.... Doug is a stand-up guy and I just wanted to say thanks(even though he'll probably never see this).

Im running the Fidanza 4.3 and love it. Its held 550LBS for over a year with out any problems, and I beat it.
Any clutch you get, you'll need a new flywheel or atleast will have to re-surface the stock unit. You'll also need to make sure you order the factory slave cylinder, bolts, etc. Also you should really read up on the differences between steel and aluminum flywheels..... Lastly, while you're at it, consider upgrading the input shaft on the trans to a 26 spline unit. And if you do, make sure you order the new clutch/flywheel combo appropriately so that you don't get a setup ready for the stock 10 spline input.
I gotta say though, I am very suprised at how well my stocker is holding up. I thought a year ago that I needed a new one then- now 12 months later plus a blower swap that makes tons more torque than previously, and my stocker has yet to show any signs of slip or fade.

That's cool- Fidanza is definitely worth looking into..... makes you wonder if half of (most of ?) the stuff you read about regarding clutch failures among any brand is actually material related or is it really just install related.

I may not be much of a Chevy person, I wouldn't say no to that car. 638 HP.... Jeez Fn Christ. But they did have to supercharge it to get there....
Still
Still haven't put those SC emblems on, waiting until I'm officially on the road.
Those look nice as well as the McLeod's, but I think they cost some bucks. I may go with the Centerforce DF.
"Dual Friction is engineered for those who are looking for the ultimate in street/strip holding power and performance without sacrificing pedal effort and driver control. While the Dual Friction has been engineered primarily as a street clutch it can be used in mild competition applications."

Pro driver behind the wheel. If it were me, I would've hit the wall at turn 1.
Good deal Jon!
Still waiting for the pics..

Price reduction on JBA Stainless Shorty Headers.. was 640.50, now 480.38.
These are the only CARB approved shorties on the market.
... tempting because NOW is the time to get them installed, when the engine is out of the car.

Is that price assembled too?
