Yes, I just need to take the time to find all the posts again. It all changed after the upgrade.

I will elaborate on my ugly brother's comments (Bill )
When getting them tinted the first time I asked the owner about installing the felt on the Mustang and the problem that occurs if you don't (Scratching). He said he knew about it and that if it scratched he would replace it and fix the felt under warranty and Ford would pay for it. Made it sound like this has happened before and would be no problem.
So I get them tinted (no felt) and sure enough month later they are scratched. When I take it in to get it replaced, he says "Oh You have to get the Ford Warranty Center to take care of it." I was pissed to say the least. I take to my dealership, show and explain the problem to them and the service manager recognizes that it is indeed a problem and that if FORD won't recognize it as such, he will just keep charging it as warranty repair till they fix it. (Cool guy). They also replace my driver side window sail and weatherstripping. I take it to another tint shop (that does the tint for the dealership) to get the felt installed. The owner of that company knows all about the 05-06 Mustang felt and problem etc and said he wont do any tint with warranty unless they get the felt installed.
So they install the felt and bill the dealership for it. I go in today to get my front windows re-tinted under warranty from the original place.
That was supposed to be the short version, but I am not so sure now.

As far as 15% tint being legal? I don't know but no problems so far and there are cars running around here with LIMO tint. That stuff makes mine look see through. Guess I will look at the DPS web site again.

A member here in TMS was so impressed with my write-up on installing the felt, he put together a webpage just for it!

And, it looks like your 15% is illegal.
Automotive Window Tinting Laws

btw- My 33% (VLT) doesn't cut the mustard either!

I always get 20% all the way around. Compared to 15%, it's probably not much different.

I found that 20% is dark enough so people really can't see you, but also light enough that you can see OK at night (and I don't mean Oklahoma).

Plus, it's light enough that cops can see something through the window, so they don't care. They just don't like 5% (limo) on the front windows.

You're complaining about 25%?

CA is 70%!

At least none of us lives in Illinois, Vermont, New Hampshire or New Jersey.

LOL I didn't notice that for some reason. Geesh 70% would be pretty much factory glass.

Did you all miss how I'm getting my chin spoiler for free?

I never thought about that... maybe that's true! But, my police car is silver and blue.

I think the black chin spoiler, too. Both look nice, but with all the other black, I think the black will fit well.

Let's see, $270 for the painted black chin spoiler, -$150 not needed to paint the chin spoiler white takes it down to $120 already. If I can find something to sell for $150, the chin spoiler will cost me -$30!

Daryl, you were right!

Nope, I saw the breakdown... makes sense to me.

Although I didn't 'make' money off mine, I did only pay $180, painted and all!

Yeah Daryl, better see some stripes by Sunday night. Don't whimp out on us.

Not "Tom and I"... he said, "I predicted that Tom, comma,... and I (Daryl) needs to take my course."

Yes, that is what they call "painted".

I will try but since my memory sucks I realized my weekend is not nearly as open as I once thought.
Sat afternoon cookout and pool party at a friends. (Beer & Stripe Installation probably don't mix well) and Sun afternoon is our company picnic.
Looks like I need to either
A) Try to do this in steps and start at first light Sat morning.
or
B)Take tomorrow off from work

Hold on there, you grammer patrols...
I think you have a run-on sentence with an incorrect use of a co-ordinating conjunction. You clearly stated 2 seperate independent clauses. Either the 2 clauses should have been seperate sentences or the use of a semi-colon would have been correct over a comma splice.

Take that!

If you have plenty of vacation days still on the book, I'd opt for option 'B'!
