Sorry, but I'm betting that they won't work like you're hoping.

Remember a couple months ago, a guy here had some long (like 18") resonators welded into his O/R pipe in hopes of eliminating the trumpeting and drone? They weren't 100% effective. So, if those true resonators didn't do the trick, I doubt the little 'built in' ones will.

Even if they tone down the trumpeting, it will be worth it. I don't expect to totally eliminate it. Since it's a "free" trial, it's worth it.

Free? I'd do the same then. Nice to have rich friends!

Here's some pics from lastnight's Mustang Cafe. It wasn't a huge turn out, but still was fun. I didn't use the flash in any of the pics (except the last one); I wanted to capture the images from the available light. I had to use a tri-pod and self-timer. Turned out pretty good!

Leo, the VB in the last pic will be in your class on Sunday. It belongs to a guy who lives near my in-laws. I invited him to check out the Cafe a few months back, finally showed up yesterday.

Also, my other buddy, Sal, will probably be in your class too. He's got a black 05 coupe w/mods (I posted his car up on here before).

I can't believe they came today! Boltzman (Chuck) is going to be so mad!

Nope - never bought the oil or radiator caps... that's why I got the "4.6" on the covers - I didn't want too many "GT"s. (You know how I am about that)

They look sweet. I didn't even notice you got the 4.6 since you didn't get a close up.

Bill- What front bumper does that guy in VB stang have? Never seen that one before. Does he have any goodies under the hood or somewhere else I can't see? Did your friend Sal ever get shaker hood?

I'm not sure. Mark (the owner) told me it's a 'Cobra' something front end. Obviously not the GT500, but maybe some other kind aftermarket bumper clip.
He does have the Roush rear spoiler and side scoops.
Also has the Eibach Pros, Flows and some kind of CAI (don't know what kind, never popped the hood open).

On Sal, I don't think he bought a Shaker yet. He hasn't e-mailed me any pics, which I think he would if he did install one.

You guys will have to wait for the 4.6 pictures. I'll take some at the Jack Roush show... we're leaving now!

it looks like a Cobra-R front end.... just my .02.... it doesn't look good on a S197. Can't wait to see Leo's, and everyone else's, at the Sunset show ! I'm planning on joining BCMC then too.

That's it! He said Cobra-R.
I'm not a fan of it either, but I'm sure it's a hit with the younger generation.

Good choice going with BCMC!

We finally get to see Brain's GT. Which Class are you registered in? Personalized?

The Cobra-R is a cool car for sure, it's what I used for-ever in Gran Turismo 3, but SN-95 styling just doesn't fit right with the S197.

Brian's GT is not registered for the show. I am just not ready. I will but I want to do a couple of things to it first ya know. But I will bring it, just not showing.

O I C...
According to BCMC's info, this Sunset show will be the last major carshow for this year.

The next one will be on April 22nd, the Fabulous Fords Forever carshow at Knotts Berry Farm. This one's a biggie, I'm not sure which is larger, this one or our Queen Mary show.

You got around 5 months to whip her into show ready shape!

Look foward to seeing you there.

Bill from my understanding the Knotts Berry Farm is like one of if not the biggest mustang show in Socal. It's usually filled well in advance and if I remember correctly there was something like 500 cars last year. Placing in that show would be something to write home about.
