Car Update

I'll try and summarize as much as possible. Went to pick up the car today only to find there were all kinds of scratches and chips on my roof top. Long story short the body shop owner said they'd wetsand them away for me. If that doesn't work they're willing to repaint my roof. They filled in the chips today and said when I came back next week they'd color sand and buff out any scratches. They are also going to fix some chips and scratches that I had on my bumper and hood even though they were already there. So I'm happy I have my car back but I'm disappointed that she looks like crap. Well that's all I feel like typing since I'm not in the greatest of moods right now.

Sorry Leo, hope they make things right for you, once and for all.

If they give you a hard time, give me the address and I'll send my Asain gang there for an attitude adjustment.

The first car I acutally bought was a '70 duster with a 3 speed on the floor and the slant 6.
Before that though, I drove my mom's almost brand new 318 Valiant with every option including the 'Cuda steering wheel and she drove her mom's '66 Chrysler with a 383.
I eventually bought the Valiant.

Dary, did you try out your Z-13, yet?

My 2 parts Z-16 and 1 part water is Z-10.7 (if water is Z-0).

I'll be trying the Z-10.7 out soon on the seats (sometime before the Jack Roush show on the 16th).

Yeah... my problem is that I want to get a tuner soon and if I have the money to get one and wait... It might just get spent on other non-Mustang expenses!

I don't think I need one. I already have the Xcal 2 and my Vector FX2 does all the 0-60, datalogging and HP functions.
The only possible thing on it I might want is a port for a A/F meter which I would still have to buy in addition.
My cost on those two things was less than $600, what is the Livewire?

Hey John, I have no idea what the cost or release date for the Livewire is. But, if you don't see yourself wanting (or needing) some of that trivial info or having to mount it somewhere, you may as well get the Xcal2 now.

You may want to e-mail Doug to get some more info on it before making up your mind.

My Shaker suction experiment

My Shaker suction experiment failed.

I duplicated Tom's experiment, but with my hood closed. It failed to suck any air from the Shaker opening, even when revved as high as 5000 RPMs.

Reason is that I (and Leo) don't have a closed intake system. Even though we both have heatshields in place around our conical air filters, we don't have that rubber seal along the edge installed, which supposedly seals against the underhood liner. Why didn't we install it? Because it's ugly.

Two mediums were used for this experiment, a cotton sheet and a paper towel.
