I was going to, but after seeing that the Z-9 is primarily a cleaner, I decided that I wanted to get more of a protectant instead.

I might be the 3rd person in the nation to get a set. I called after I got that email saying they would ship on the 13th and said I had a car show on the 16th. She said I would be on the top of the list for painting & shipping. Would even ship before the 13th if possible.

No $4 discount, though.

---------------------------

Leaving work last night both a guy I work with (in a 2001 Camaro Z28) and I got up to 125mph in an area with no traffic. Was scary since the speed limit was 50 there. We were both going about 60 and seemed to have the same idea at the same time and we both just kept accelerating - neither pulled away from the other. We weren't "racing" - we just kept going, and going, and going...

Who said anything about "couldn't". He was in front of me, 2 lanes to the left. I came up next to him and then we just started accelerating. I thought I would get off of it at 100, but we had a good sized hill in front of us, so we kept going. I was up to 125 and back to 60 before the top of that hill! In case something (or someone) was lurking on the other side (nobody was).

So it was not a contest of speed and acceleration?
Guess it was just a mutual 'hand holding' run together.

Did you read half of my paragraph and then start replying? "We weren't racing..."

Yes, it was just a hand-holding run... I was in 5th gear and he may have been in 6th.

I read it complete, but 'racing' was in quotes, which leaves it up to interpretation.
If I told a story about a Mustang and a Camaro running towards a high speed run, you can bet your hiney we're racing! (no quotes there, Buddy!)

Racing would have been illegal.

Getting to 125 for the first time in the car was a good-enough story for me.

WOW. I am sorry guys but that has got to be the ugliest shifter EVER.
I agree with most in here, that it just looks too plain. I do not like the stock shifter but would MUCH rather have it than this disaster.
(I have a manual anyway )

Found a new mod for you guys.
http://www.2005stang.com/viewtopic.php?t=3751

Looks like I'm SOL since my car is black and the Silver color they offer doesn't match the IUP.
