Do V8 owners look down on V6 mustangs?

Only the rainbow in the seventh hour of steel consolation could be so compelling as to the triumph of the jubilant obelisk...Keep it outstretched towards empty allotment and for that I will love you. (And me)
Finally someone understands me. Hugs.

Layla, I don't really care what people do to their 6. It's the v6 people that try to make their car something it's not just to have something "different". If you want to be different and go for speed buy a better car. (Excludes 2011-13 v6's) though I do agree to some point that it's just not worth the money to do anything but bolt ons for a v6.
CCT your right I can't go two miles without needing to fill up! D: -bows down to the v6 master race- Though worst mileage I ever got was 11mpg when I did nothing but mash on the gas pedal.

I dont think most people look down on V6 owners. I think they just dont think of V6 owners as being performance enthusiasts. I would consider buying a V6 if there were more high performance parts and kits for the V6 engines.

i don't look down on the 6. it's a GREAT bargain for power and handling. when the new v6 and 5.0 were announced and reviewed, it was definitely a turning point. after reading the numbers and approach to the 6 and 8, reinforced by initial and subsequent reviews, i saw no reason not to pursue a mustang of either flavor. my history has been sporty japanese cars. so that led me to compare the v6 mostly. and hands down the v6 mustang was the most desirable for the money - 305hp, rwd, handled great plus the huge linage and history you're buying into. the lack of increasing power options i think has hurt the market of the 6. at least if you target the import market. turbos and super chargers or tuners that squeeked out more hp are synonymous with the import crowd. otoh, the import crowd would tune/modify (and $$$) just to get up to 300+hp which is what the 6 already offers! another factor may be the size. there's two ways to look at it - 1 the stang is just too big to be a hot hatch or mini. 2 - spending the same amount of money what would you rather have, a shoe box or something that stands out and has a roomy, wider interior? although i have an 8 now, the following would apply if i had a 6; i still look at import cars when i'm parked near them or on the street, and think "wow that little thing". in fact, the mustang drives smaller than it looks, but it's more of a like driving an ICBM vs. a go-kart. another way to say it, especially with the 8, sure an extra 300 is a great little airplane but i have an f-16

I wouldn't know. Though the boss is just a GT with a better suspension and all of 40 more hp. Not really that hard to make a GT have more power. I just wonder why a v6 owner would buy v6 specifically just to beat the GT. I never really saw any GT owner that wanted to build their at up to be faster than a specific mustang.
