I love the sound of the V8 exhaust when I hear one accelerating away from a light, but I owned a Morgan and love road trips and found that living with the exhaust noise could be very tiring. I am selling my S2000 and have ordered a 2014 V6 premium convertible with automatic. I'm pushing 73 and I'm still slim and wear a speedo style swim suit (I hate those baggy trunks) and carry all my stuff in a man's shoulder carry-all bag and if there are folks who disapprove it's just too bloody bad. It will be nice if other Mustang owners accept my choices of V6 and automatic, but for those who don't, that will be their problem.
However, I could have gone the rest of my life without the vision of a 73 year old man wearing a speedo while carrying a purse, and have been just fine.

It they own a 10 it below, they usually don't. Instead, they appreciate the new V6 and V8 platform, milestone improvements in the breed, and anticipate even more technological gains in the next couple of years.

Hear the base model may get the turbo 4 form the focus RS. I honestly wouldn't be upset about that. It would be nice to have a entertainment level mustang that can make 50hp with just a tune!

I'm excited about the new platform. Bring the turbo.
Flame suit on: I've noticed that mainly the 11 and up GT owners tend to scrutinize the 305hp V6 because of their drastic hp difference. The 10 and below GT owners recognize the 11 - up V6s proximity to their hp numbers and noteworthy fuel efficiency and appreciate Fords innovation.
(Granted you car doesn't look like Sanford and Son) rumble or no rumble, v6 or v8, 18s or 20s, most people don't know or don't care.
At the end of the day, It's what "steps out of the car," what kind of person you are, your kindness to less fortunate, and your heart thats going to leave the impression.

All new for 2013 is the Roush RS. Respectfully, it is an authentic serialized Roush V6 Mustang.

Wasnt talking about the 2013, also I have said in this thread they made a roush v6 in 2013. Also your second to last post made you sound like Bono. (Might have miss spelled the name)

I've attracted the attention of more than a few women who admired a guy who still has the body (and the guts) to wear a speedo.
And I've carried my 'purse' for several years now in a LOT of different countries and never gotten any crap from anybody about it. The few comments I have ever gotten have been "Why didn't I think of that?" and "Cool! Where did you get it?"
Step outside the box and do what makes you comfortable and ignore those who just don't get it. Take that first step and be FREE, and you'll never look back. And yes, I'm a happily married man who will celebrate 40 years with his wife this July.

Well one of my co-workers is 6'5" and weighs about 260 lbs. and all muscle. He drives a Ford Focus go ahead make fun of em!!! The running joke is I pitty the person who makes fun of him until he unfolds himself out of the car!!! Reminds me of the scene from the movie Police Academy. When somebody yells at Hightower for his bad driving until he gets out of the car!!!

I used to look down at the v6 mustang mainly because I raced an 07 with a 4.0 with my ranger with a 4.0 and smoked it, but now I respect all mustang owners...the people I make fun of are those d-bags in their turbo hondas that think they can touch my 5.0, oooo your car has a turbo, pssh I still have twice the engine LMAO

You know I was reading this post and there is alot of people that look down on the v6 my wife has a v6 mustang and she gets why would you buy a v6 from her co-workers and then she takes my truck and tell them that's a v6 also they laugh little do they know the ecoboost makes more hp than the 5.0 and is also comparable to the 6.2. I guess the moral of the story is times are changing and the saying " there is no replacement for displacement " is becoming no more. Don't get me wrong gt's are nice but I can respect pretty much any mustang owner

I think it comes down to the kind of people that buy each one. Not to disrespect the V6 owners on here but you have to face the fact that majority of V6 owners are not enthusiast and don't really care about the mustang. They have it because it looked kinda cool or price was right but they are just using it as transportation.
So its very hard for the GT and Cobra guys to tell which 1 outta 10 is the guy who knows what he has and is part of that Mustang culture.
Also GTs are hit or miss too. There is a good portion of them that are in that same boat.
I reserve my waves for noticeably modded GTs or Cobra/GT500s.
