Not that anyone would ever want to, but I wonder what the 5.0 would get with the 2.73 gears from the v6. A lot of the mileage can be attributed to the almost stupid tall gearing. The mileage shoots down **** close to 5.0 territory when you put 3.73s in the new sixxers

Yeah, I remember pulling into a gas station and there were 2 old guys in their 70's sitting there and as I got out I heard one say to the other..."No, that's not a Coyote"....

When I bought the difference was more like 7 to 8 grand.....that is some serious coin....

New or used? And was it well equip or not? The only way I see that happening is if it had high mileage or was a base base model.

I ordered a new base black v6 with the Performance Package as the only option...out the door ( with taxes, etc) for a bit over 23...sticker was 25,100.....you would have to add the brembo package and it's 19 inch wheels to be somewhat the same and the sticker on it was I think around 33k.

I don't mind them trying to make their car look how ever they want to. (Except if they rice it out) Its another thing when they think they are fast due to how it looks or try to pass it off as the real deal.

Ahh man you can get it cheaper, just gotta work some magic. A base gt with brembos would likely be around 27-28 out the door. Paid 32k out the door for my gt premium with track and comfort pack.

True that, there's always gonna be a GM owner that's "faster" than you.

It's also about getting a car where people wot say "oh it's only a v6 who cares" "what a retard for spending that much on a v6" "why didnt you get the v8?" "The v6 is for girls and girls would even rather have the v8". These are the things I have heard others say.

At the time they were not going that cheap around here....even then if you could get out the door for 28k, that still would add about what, 80 to 90 a month plus another 40 to 50 a month for insurance?

Yes but money well spent also if you have put down a good down payment it would have been the same monthly. Also ccchhhhhh if you could afford a 25k car you can afford the insurance. Also muffin man that sucks I also heard that beig said as well.

Unfortunately some people view it like this. "A fast V6 is still a v6" or a more common way people say that is "a fast Honda is still a Honda" those two saying kind of go hand in hand when people talk down about other cars.

Depends on where you're at in life. I'd way rather drop 5 grand on repaying student loans or using towards college tuition than a car.

However, with no money down, that's where your car payment amount increases. It's a vicious cycle.

Yeah in my case it was my wife being disabled and the v6 was the most I could afford....and at my age (55) it is more than enough...
