I'll be down there on the redneck riviera through September and over at Gulf Shores and Mobile through October to see my little nephews. You need to get your boys off their **** and keep them from being sissies. Specially that oldest one, that pic you posted of them with Rick Harris, I noticed he was wearing the hipster glasses and it appeared to be skinny jeans. If so, you need to beat his little **** and talk some sense into him, quit letting his mom have control. Trust me, mom is into the hipster/hollywood movement and is letting your kids follow it. Don't fall for it!!!!!
Eh he's a skate boarder. He dresses to fit the part for sure. Really can't preach against it since I was a skate punk in my younger years too. He's a tough little bastard though. Daredevil and fearless. Watched him go through some serious wipeouts that I though would send him to the hospital for sure. But that's how they dress and I won't deny him of his own style. I've never been one to conform and look like the norm myself. And the little one is a total animal that is tough as nails.

I'm just giving you a hard time. But isn't he the one that broke his arm, doing basically nothing? I noticed that his arm seemed really small compared to his other one, from being broke? Hope he is getting better. The little one does look like a wild man. Actually they remind me of my nephews down there. The oldest is tall, skinny, but really reserved and intelligent, thinks everything through, his little bro is as tall as he is but thick, built like a brick **** house, and wild as can be, doesn't think about anything, just blasts into it full bore, lol. Consequences be dammed, he is all out, full charge ahead at anything. I have to keep an eye on him or he will do some stupid **** to impress me If I don't keep an eye on him.

He broke the first arm doing nothing but he hurt it at the skate park a week before that. The second arm he snapped clean rolling the dune buggy. He drives like his mom. Lol. The little one is gonna be a driver. He's got natural skills behind the wheel. Already talking about what kinda car he wants.

You'll laugh at this. Back in Nov when I was at Motel6 for my first treatment at Stanford Medical, from about 5am on I hear these skateboarders. Wheels clickin on the seam in the sidewalks. Right outside my door!! I'm thinking WTF?? Who the hell lets their kids skateboard at a motel. And at 5 -7ish in the morning?? And what kind of messed up management let's kids skateboard on their property - esp at that time of day - waking their guests up???

It took till the 3rd morning for me to figure out it was the wheels on suitcases as people were leaving - not skateboarders.

You skateboarders get blamed for everything don't you? lol

Well we used to skate back when it wasn't the popular thing to do. We all looked like freaks back then so of course they singled us out as druggies and thieves and the cops harassed us constantly. They were right about most of us though. Lol. Nowadays it's truly a serious skill and athletic sport. These kids out at the park are training. Working their butts off to land a new trick or perfect one. I don't skate much anymore and definitely stay away from the trick stuff but love to watch these kids work so hard and all get along. I'm glad I can still enjoy the sport even if it's from the sidelines mostly.

I picked up a Dominoes buffalo chicken baked sub. If any of you get the chance, try one of these. They are fantastic.

Good BBQ is REAL hard to find in Indiana, but it can be done, occasionally. Cecil's beef brisket is good smoked meat. The pulled pork was kinda moist for my taste (steam table?); I prefer it on the dry side, with a good measure of Mr. Brown included for the crunch and seasoning. If the meat is good, I couldn't care less about sauce-- just a smoked meat sammich with a little salt & pepper. Next time I go back I'll probably give the ribs a try. And some more of those German fries with Cecil's own hot BBQ sauce as a condiment.

Lookin' good, Darren. We had asparagus also. I prepared an asparagus and mushroom risotto that's to die for. Recipe available on request. We had it with chicken.

i'm totally interested in asparagus risotto! I think my arborio is buried in the back corner of the pantry. i seldom have the patience for it. I once asked the gf to watch the risotto while i prepped other stuff. BIG mistake LOL. she threw a huge tantrum after it failed too

Made a big batch of homemade salsa this evening. And ate a bunch of it with beer and chips and beer.
