Had a PB&J with a sliced up apple in it, mozzarella stick and some pumpkin seed chips (like tortilla chips, but made from mashed up pumpkin seeds). Yeah, I felt like a kid tonight haha

Made a big pot of chili and put a big dent in it. It's the only way to get through a tough Winter.

Had tacos. They were delicious. Not much difference between the place we eat at home though.

I love homemade chili in cold weather.

You went to the wrong place. You went to a white people Mexican restaurant, got to get off the beaten path, out of downtown.

This place has been there since the 40s. And at least half the people there were speaking Spanish. Maybe you should just except that we have great Mexican in Minnesota.

I doubt that. I watched the Bizarre Foods episode when he went to the Mn. State fair and all of the traveling food vendors talked about how they had to modify their menu when they stopped in Mn. because the palate of the Mn. people was so delicate and they didn't like strong flavors, spicy flavors, or basically flavor at all. Hence why you have boiled pork in a crock pot at home.

Oh, and just to be a dick, its accept.

I think we'd make great neighbors then Stage

Tonight i made chicken prima vera on linguine with leftover chicken and veggies. For brunch yesterday it was avocado benny with turkey, but the avocado has to go under the turkey, else it all slides off LOL!

Wish you'd have been here to help me lighten that pot, Lee. This is MAN'S chili, not that soupy stuff. I'll hit it again tomorrow night; it'll be even better than it was Friday!

That can be said of literally every single commercial establishment in Phoenix, Az.

The best Mexican food isn't going to be a chain and they won't have signs up in the place telling you how long they've been there. Most really good restaurants (regardless of fare) will not have that. There are gringo Mexican food places everywhere, including Arizona.

Its always better on the 2nd or 3rd reheat than when its first made. Same way with a pot of pinto/white beans with a hamhock in them. Baked beans too.

And I probably wouldn't be able to eat at any of them.

You'd be surprised. Most of those places use far less "unnatural" ingredients in their food. Corn, flour, grease, beef, chicken, vegetables, etc. You won't find much MSG or other additives in that kind of restaurant. You may be able to eat there more than you can at other places.
