I'm not big on sushi. I don't mind some other asian foods though. Teriyaki steak FTW!

Someday I wanna try Frankiln BBQ in Austin

Supposed to be best in Texas

It's the one on the Chase credit card commercial with the Japanese dude

When Zoe starts her spring volleyball league and we have to travel all over Texas I'm going to make it a point to go to some of the top places I've never been

Today it's McMillans in Fanin, TX

You know New Orleans has some of the best food in the world but BBQ we are not known for. And you're not really gonna find a good one either. The closest really good one is The Shed in Mississippi. They really do a good job.

If I lived where you do I'd be 400 pounds and sweat butter.

As a fat man in a slightly lesser fat man's body I envy your gastronomic adventures there.

Man it's hard not to just pig out every day. Even home cooking will hurt you. We are supposed to head to Nola and finish shopping today. Just a really good excuse to go eat at a good restaurant. Lol

The time I spent in New Orleans was basically a culinary orgy. Jambalaya, etoufee, gumbo, boudin, bread pudding, boiled crawfish, fish fry's, etc., etc. Two things Louisiana does better than Texas: cajun/creole food and college football.

Amazing how things go when you interject money into it.

Well ive been eating it for the past like 10yrs so I'm not a ****ing "hipster" I like it because i like it. Sushi is really good and if y'all want to be closed minded about trying new food's then y'all are missing out. You should try new food every chance you get,... And if you don't like after that then fine. & it's not $$$ all the food plus drinks we had last night was $91 that's including a $20 tip.

I haven't been out to eat since my birthday back in september. And for the record, $91 is crazy $$$.

I've seen that commercial, the dude is a judge on BBQ Pitmasters show sometimes. I've found that I'm never impressed by the places that are really big, popular and raved about. Its generally a hole in the wall where I find the best bbq. See below (even have a tv show about it)

Tried the one in Mobile and was less than impressed. Mediocre at best (to me) and that's being generous. WAY overpriced, and very generic as far as sauce and flavor goes. I've had at least 10 others that tasted pretty much exactly like it. It finally closed down a few months ago.

Well actually, mom, they've lost to those cajun retards three straight times.
"They have not, it's only 2 games! And we'll beat them next year!"
I believe you're forgetting the recent Cotton Bowl game, which LSU did win 41-24.
"That game doesn't count, they weren't in the SEC yet!"
What the f-- you know, nevermind. You wonder why people outside of college station laugh at aggies, this is why. :eyeroll:

I was a maroon-and-white-koolaid-drinking SOB in high school--which I attended in College Station--and the very first time I went to a game in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night...life-changing. Unbelievable. Been hooked on it ever since. My hatred for UT has also died out, which I never believed would happen.
