I learned that out of the 21 kids in my wife's first grade class...

7 of them have fathers that live at home and work

7 of them have fathers that live at home and don't work, but are on disability

7 of them don't even know where their father is

Poor kids. They don't have a chance.

The second two scenarios I can understand, but what's wrong with living at home and working? Seems pretty much normal to me.

Nothing wrong with that. The problem is its 33% and not 100%. Or even 75%.

I guess I should be happy its even 33%.

Understood.

Not that it really matters, though. It's difficult to judge these days. My dad is a dick. He's always been a 'live at home and work' guy, but he was (and is) an unstable, bitter, alchoholic a-hole who hates everyone and everything. It's a sliding scale.

Also understood.

And that could be a flip side, maybe them not having some of these dad's around is good.

But in a perfect world...

Careful. They say Dr. Pepper is a gateway soft drink.

Next thing you know you'll be drinking Big Red and chasing it with Orange Crush.
