It came a very odd storm yesterday.........This is 3 feet of water.
Looking at that road way I tought that you ought to have a Yellow brick drive-way (road)

I have a 3 page long list of things that need fixin here. My Dad came through and educated us about the frick ups. The siding- I won't even go there, looks like a team of chimpanzees installed it.

This house was built in a hurry, and I wasn't there to say- do this and do that. My other house sold the day we told them to stick it.

I am still trying to get used to it- I am not used to fancy.

Yesterday I cleared out the old house, that blew, I was SO not in the mood to spend six hours cleaning-especially when this one needs fixin up itself. that house stank- When I moved out and was moving out I saw all its flaws in all its glory- the ac broke, rotted, OH and the best thing of all- the week we moved out the dishwasher blew out, the Shower in the master bath Sprang a leak, and yesterday as a ball of lightning passed the living room light gave up its last breath(what do you expect, it was 70s vintage)

The garage here is teensy- two car my hiney.

But overall I am pleased. Happy as a clam!

I love it all- and the neighborhood rocks. No more from the trailer park delinquents to throw eggs(back when we lived in the trailer park). No more dopeheads, no more teenagers racing up and down......
Tonight I am going on a LOOOOOOOOONG swim

That's one of the reasons we moved last year. We lived at the end of a cul de sac also with the woods behind. it was a great setting. Everytime it rained, thewater puddles at the end of our drive as it was the low point but the storm drain was 50 feet in the other direction. Also since they were still building and the street had a slight difference in elevation, not only was there a puddle but mud which we tracked into the garage everytime we went in or our. Couldn't keep the vert clean, everytime I washed it and then left, it was thru the mud.

Thank you all for not killing me through this.
I have been working my backside off today, and the sit back and enjoy end is in sight.
Phone tomorrow, Directv the next day(wonder if I can slip him $20 for the sunday ticket?).

It actually looks like a house, but I am still sitting on a packing box for a computer chair right now.

Today we closed(long story as to how I moved in Friday and closed today) HOLY mama I wanna be a real estate agent- she made a frickload off this house. Well in that case, so did the attorney, builder and mortgage agent.

I got presents from my realtor, and my mortgage agent.

Remember the orange house? They closed today too. Whatta lotta Aholes! Holy snot- they were giving the builder hades- and their house is lovely(cept for the tangerine walls). Idiots. Be greatful. We did it nicely, and the builder had a team out here before we made it back home good to start to fixin(front door, and upstairs AC)

I ran into them- told them I hope they like their new neighbors cause I packed up and moved to the Cove. This rocks.

The reason I am so excited-
I have never "owned" something like this of my own before- Its been rentals, Or in the last 2 cases-
My Granddaddy died without a will so I didn't get my land he gave me(greedy granny sold it from under me before I titled it-long story, but the old bitty is a millionaire now) or when I lived in the hole I never transferred the land my Dad gave me into my name, and gave it back to him when I fled.

NO ONE(but the bank) is the boss of me anymore. I Can finally get my african parakeet and another greyhound and a dobie if I wish and no one can tell me I can't.
I can do what I want here.

And its also a pretty sweet house.

I finally have the room to put my massive bedroom set together correctly instead of in pieces.

And the kids even have their own little thing- their beds and bath are through an arch on one side of the house.

Ellies horse house is a hair on the small side though.

Which pet first?
Do they have their own exit?
Pull one car in and back the other one in. This leaves as much room as possible for both drivers door.

First up?
I want an african parakeet- so I can teach it to curse. BUT its going to be a while==$$$$$$.

MONEY wise another greyhound- the fee here is $150. BUT it has to be a brindle or blue male who actually raced, and who is not timid or nuts. I adored Rhythm, and he has so far been irreplacable.(Eddie not counting, he is more like a second cat)

House is unpacked finally
My freaking carpet though= all the pile on it hasn't settled yet. Grr. Sucks to clean it so far, gotta stop and unclog every few. I still haven't figured out the care and maintenance of hardwood- and when it rains with my defective door unit- Grr. My Dad says all of the water is going to buckle it. (the windows weep water if it comes a storm) Thing being it is major construction to fix- the door unit is two windows and a prism door all in one piece and it goes in before the sheetrock and everything.

Note- when you drop something on the tile floor- before you even finish uttering the curse word you are saying the thing is shattered. I lost 3 pictures and a glass.

I finally got my pool and tennis passes- I spent the afternoon in the pool yesterday, that rocked I plan on more of the same today. I love the pool.

Eddie and Miss Kitty are happy as can be as well. My neighbors are all very cool, my neighborhood rocks, I have not a complaint in the world.

Thank you all again for seeing me through this long journey.
(I still want my summer back)

LEt me tell you about this comedy of errors:

I packed and planned and bought all summer so I would be prepared when I moved in this house. I actually moved in 3 days before closing because my builder made up a fake lease for us to move in.
So On Thursday I put in my garden, Friday I put in the blinds and curtains, and Saturday we moved. Sunday My Dad came over to our old house with a trailer and we hauled all the stuff we didn't want out.

So Meanwhile, I worked like a laborer all day over there. Remember this house we moved out of was built in 1978 and was owned by a crochety old bitty. Nothing much worked there- we spent $30 every 2 months replacing the master shower plumbing stuff. Well it leaked constantly and I have the water bill to prove it. Fine. We moved, we shut off the water to it and I cloroxed the snot out of it.

I cleaned for seven hours over there Sunday- from clorox, to sweeping and mopping you name it. Mind you I do not work for the merry maids. It was as clean as it was when I moved in.
Sunday, Crap! the landbitty came over and the living room light was fine. She leaves, it comes up a storm- I kid you not, lightning struck the house, and the living room light was the casualty.
So I make arrangements to go drop off her crap on Monday-and get my $475 she owed me for 15 days of rent I didn't use. She finds a FREAKING SPECK OF DIRT IN THE CORNER! and tells me oops I am having the cleaners in, its gonna cost you.
Yesterday the old crab called- and downstairs before us was a teenagers room, there were kool aid stains everywhere. We kept it clean. She accuses US! Of leaving those stains there. AND now is going to have Stanley Steamer in.
Everything she is sposed to fix(dishwasher I and everything else I told her was broke) She is pissed off about.
I anticipate seeing exactly ZERO. I hope the old hag gets a boil on her hiney.
So long story- I now own a house for the FIRST TIME EVER. And she can go lick a tree root. Course I needed that money- Eleanors tags are due,and I borrowed $800 from my Dad(whew covered that by my crack), but I will manage.

I have many horrible things to say about that old coot.
For revenge, I turned the AC down WAYYYYYYYYYYYY low. It worked Half ****, so we had to keep it on 80 or face a $300 electric bill- so let her deal with it.

A buick driving old hag.
The carpet was probably installed around 1985 or so.
