I agree about Jess. Something about her that just does it for me. I hope she makes it to the end along with Caleb and CJ.

I'm liking Jena more too. A Jena a Caleb duet would be good.

 

It just hit me that this may be the first season of the show that nobody has sang a Whitney Houston song at all, even during tryouts that I remember.


And I think Jessica and Dexter both gave their best performances of the entire competition tonight, especially Dexter.

 

You got your wish. I thought it was REALLY good.


And am I the only one that was totally creeped out by Harry with that girl? She looked really young to me and when I saw her on his shoulders in the audience I kept thinking "I hope that's his daughter and this is just a prop for the theme of the show". Then he comes back up on stage with her up there, and nope, never mentioned anything like that. I mean, I would have been super pissed if that were my daughter. She's wearing tiny little short shorts and some stranger pushing 50 puts her up on his shoulders straddling his neck and rubbing all over her thighs.

I'd beat the brakes off of that ****. But seriously, that made me really uncomfortable.

 

Yes, my sister and I were saying how creepy it was and how uncomfortable she looked.

 

Harry needs to learn how to grow up. Hope he doesn't come back next year.

 

It may not be a big deal nowadays but in the time and place I was was brought up, that is very intimate contact. Especially with a stranger, her age, and with what she was wearing.

 

I'll have to watch it when I get home today. Usually I don't get to it until the weekend.

I liked Harry when he did mentoring or other stuff on the show, but i'm not a fan of him as a judge. I won't miss him if he's gone.

 

Just watched it and it needed to be longer. Something just hit me on Jena and who she sounded like on that song. Ann Wilson. She needs to do a Heart song. I think that would be perfect for her.

 

Idol was Awesome tonight. OMG! Jena just killed it.
I'll bet no one saw this episode.

I caught part of Jena and Caleb doing their duet, but that was all. I usually don't end up watching until the weekend.

I saw it, and yes she killed it, on the duet with Caleb at least. If the arrangement would have been like the original, they would have knocked it out of the park (especially her, she nailed it).


However, I liked her rendition of Creep, but it wasn't spectacular. Only cover of that song that I've been moved by is this one,,,,,,

 

Jena has improved so much. She's got a good chance at winning this I think. Maybe her, Caleb and CJ as the final three?

 

I've loved CJ from the beginning, but I don't think he can win it.

I see Jena and Caleb as the finalist. Caleb should win it, but I think PC will over come it. Its rigged, linked to politics its a media build up to the next election. I hate to say that, but I feel it. The only reason MK made it as far as she did was because of the "background" story. She sucked IMO. And I can't believe she made it as far as she did, she wouldn't have if it weren't for her back story.

We're in an era where women are put on a pedestal, regardless of ability and you can't disagree with anything a woman says or you're a sexist, just like if you disagree with our current leader you're a racist.

I watched last week's episode last night. I thought Jessica did way better than the judges said. I don't normally like covers of my favorite artists, but I thought she did a good job. I also thought Jena was pitchy. I think the judges are being exceptionally biased this season.

 

There are Times when I think the judges don't hear what I hear. I wonder what it sounds like in the studio?

Jessica has been one of my favorites since the beginning, but I'm liking Jena more and more.

 

You ever notice how echoed it sounds when they're singing? It's especially noticeable with Caleb. Are they doing something to the sound to try to make it sound live/in person?
