There were a few I was surprised they let go. I thought Rachael was the better of the two. I'm glad the kept Jax, I like her. I was surprised to see Jaq gone, I liked her too. There was another guy they let go, I forget his name. He played the piano and I thought had a good shot at going pretty far.

Then there is that 15 year old kid they keep. He may have potential in the future, but not now. He keeps getting through. Reminds me of how they kept Sanjaya. There was another young girl that was much better. They should have kept her instead.

I still have to watch Thursdays show. I'm sure i'll have more disappointment.

 

I was surprised they kept him too, but it looks good on the show I suppose. He is a cute kid, and he can sing but he is so young that his voice hasn't even changed yet (if we are talking about the same one) Don't remember his name but he keeps getting through. I'm like you, I think he only gets through because he is a little guy and is cute. Don't get me wrong, he can sing but I'm not sure how he will sound when he hits puberty, and his voice changes, lol.

 

This. They keep telling everyone else right and left that they're not ready yet, but they let the little pre-pubescent kid through. Makes total sense.

What the hell is this weird accent/inflection so many of these girls are singing with? Jax does it, another girl tonight does it (Joey) and a bunch of girls in the try outs did it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Where does it come from? Feels to me like they're trying to copy some popular artist that does it, don't know who it is. Sounds almost like they're about to yodel at the end of each word or on vowel sounds. Annoys me the **** out of me.

 

I have no idea where it comes from. It's been around for a while though.

 

I'm just glad someone else besides me notices it. I've noticed it the last couple seasons on AI.
