I think you misunderstand, there's not a GAME we can't play. I said cod is better than BF3 that doesn't mean we don't own it and OWN at it.

What's your gamer tag?
Take a wild guess... Lol

You want fast paced, try close quarters bf3 with 64 players.
Tiny maps = tons of kills. Big maps = camping snipers or too much running around.

Yeah I hate having to run to objectives, why won't they come to me!! I get easily side tracked when people aren't spawning in front for me to kill.

Do you have ARMA II?

Most COD players don't last long in ARMA. WAY too realistic for them.

And for some real fun, DayZ is my new addiction. A realistic zombie apocalypse game.

You start with 2 can of beans, a pistol with a little bit of ammunition, some bandages, pain killers, and a bottle of water. You have to scavenge for everything else. You have to eat and drink water to maintain health, and loss of blood, pain, starvation, or dehydration causes you to shake which results in not being able to aim properly or fight back. Pain killers can stop the shaking, bandages can stop the bleeding, but only food and water can stop you from starving.

The sound of gunfire attracts zombies so you're often trying to avoid confrontation unless you know you're in an area with a lot of visibility and can see no other zombies. Sound travels a long way, and the bigger the gun the louder it is. Also, other players will kill you for your supplies and are often worse than the zombies themselves.

I've been hunted down by other survivors for a can of beans. And with the latest update when you eat a can of beans you leave trash, which means you leave a trail that other survivors can follow.

Death is permanent. If you die you have to start over.

The map is HUGE. If you've played Far Cry 3, picture a map 2 to 3 times that size. There are entire cities, small towns, farm houses, everything you would expect in the real world. You can find and drive cars and even fix broken ones, ride bicycles, or just run. The game works off a real-world lighting system, so if you're playing at night it is night in the game.

It's not your run and gun shooter, but it's a hell of a lot of fun.

It's still in alpha testing now, so yes, it can be buggy at times. Animations are still rough. Things like that.

They are updating it regularly. Adding in features and improvements. Soon they will have a stand-alone version that doesn't have to be played online, although the threat of other survivors killing you for your supplies is a big part of what makes the game fun (And frustrating)

The map is roughly 87 square miles. HUGE by any video game standards. That's about 6 times the size of Skyrim if you've played that, and the map is based on a real location. It's not entirely accurate, but it's close enough to feel real.

To play it you have to have ARMA II and the Operation Arrowhead expansion. Also adding the PCM Add-on will add high rest textures to the zombies (Everything else already uses high res textures)

ARMA II itself is amazing. You can drive any vehicle, fly any plane or helicopter, be a ground soldier, pretty much anything. It's a war simulator, so if it happens in real combat you can do it in the game.

For money sake, the best thing to do is buy the ARMA X Anniversary Edition because it includes all of the expansions and add-ons in a single box.

DayZ itself is a downloadable mod, and thus FREE.

To an extent. Some buttons will still require a keyboard due to the massive amount of things you can do. But you can put movement. Aim. Sprint crouch and stuff like that on the controller.

Real gamers play arcade machines. This just showed up today. Fresh off the delivery truck. Still need to fix the coin door lights and touch up the cabinet. Monitor adjustment and general cleaning have been completed. New buttons, joysticks, t-molding and CP Lexan have been ordered. I'll post more detailed pics after the restoration is complete. The monitor is a D9200 that I had to adjust the yoke on (was tilted) and the size down to a 25" viewable area since this game is a 25" cabinet. The D9200 is a 27" monitor. It has some pretty good screen burn, but not noticeable at all during game play, so I can live with it. Just wanted to share...
