Where is the new job at....if you shared it already I guess I missed it.

[QUOTE=Stoenr;6413411]Hey all. Storms knocked my power out for the 3rd time in a month.
Might be time to start thinking about a gen!
Had a little weekend get away planned just a short trip up to Milwaukee for a few days. See the brewers stadium, have a few brews.
The day we leave to head up was the day of that shooting at that temple. Pretty sure it was all over the news everywhere.
Turns out our hotel was right down the street from it!
But didnt see anything exciting, or even and news people. I wanted to buzz the mustang past where they were reporting from to get my 2 seconds of fame, but felt it might be a little disrespectful.
I for one think you made the right choice.

Awesome Dirk. I am glad you landed on you feet when you got back!
Your GF is pretty and I am sure your deserving of her attention. I think Glenn headed for a dark corner of his house.

Good to hear Cody!.. At least you didn't suffer thru all the problems like Darrell did.

Very typical for companies to do that these days. I watched the company I worked for almost 20 years and was the plant manager for over 15 years tell everyone that quit to pack their tools and leave now. I didn't give them that option when I quit. I quit at 3pm one day and pulled my stuff out at 6 am the next morning. Enjoy the extra time off!!!

****************Long Post Warning*********************
Yesterday (Sunday) was an epic fail day for me. One of the top 10 worst days I've had.
First of all my oldest daugter was diagnosis with Uterine cancer last Monday. So all week was bad and worst for my daughter and wife. Sunday was a planned Race day for me and my wife told me to go and get things off my mind. A very bad mistake. I havn't been sleeping good and only got 2 hours of sleep the night before. The race was at Grissom AFB about 1 1/2 hours away. I almost diecided not to go but everything was packed and I felt about 50% OK. The drive down was OK and I arrived at the time I had planned. I knew there would be over 160 cars there, it was a combination of 4 clubs. The main parking is about 1/4 mile away from the track and almost everybody bought a bike, or scooter ,or some type of transportation. I didn't. I walked the coarse 2 times about a 1/2 mile each time. Than in the tech line for the cars, the guy is Oking everybody and he gets to me and wants to know if I have checked my Brake fluid lately. I tell him I changed it to Dot4 in the spring and if he wants to he can check it. Than he does like the way my Fire Extingusher is mounted in the trunk, I tell him to bad, I don't even need one per the rules. So that is over and its time for the Drivers meeting and we walk over to the Command center (a bus). 45 minutes later they start the meeting. I have been standing or walking now in the sun for 2 hours. I can't sit down on the rough concrete with my bad legs and knees. I'm sweating very heavily and drinking water like crazy. The announce 4 groups to race. So you will sit out 2 groups, work 1 group and run in another group. I here my class called for the last group and that I will need to work the 3rd group. I go back the 1/4 mile to my car and drink more water and sit down. Mosler Ford is a sponser of the race and is cooking Brats. I get one and its not that good. Now my stomach is sour, I'm hot, and I fell like crap. I call my wife and she tells me to come home. Smart advice but dummy me says no I'll stay. I again walk the 1/4 mile to watch the 1st group. I see a couple of club guys from South Bend and they ask my assignment. I tell them run 4 and work 3.

part 2
They tell me no I'm wrong. If I'm running 4, I have to work 2. Its almost time for 2 to get started so I run back (1/4 mile) to get my hat and another water and run back to yes find out i work group 2. They put me as far away as anyworker could get, the far end of the coarse. Its just a wide turn around and nobody ever hits acome. I'm there for 1 1/2 hours. I tried to watch the cars go around but I'm get dizzy so I just watch them come into and out of the turn. I'm really feeling bad but I get to sit down for group 3. I have to move my car up into the grid and wait. Finally after getting ther at 8am its time to run, its 4:30pm. I get in line and I'm so hoy and dizzy and sick I just want to get though this and go home. I take off and after the 3 set of cones I'm lose on the coarse and DNF for the run. I come back in and the Grid master comes running up and demands that I ride with another car to learn the track. He puts me into a firebird with a 17 kid. The seat is laid back and I can't see over the hood. He takes off.

part 3.
He takes off and I can't see ****. The turns I'm not expecting and by the end of the run I ready to throw up. I get back to my car and get in. Again after the 3 set of cones I'm lost and DNF. I get back to the grid and just start packing everything in the trunk for the ride home (ahour and a half away). Screw the last 2 runs, they won't be any better. Made it home and just when to bed. I still feel bad today.
Well thats my story. Both daughters have office visits with their Cancer Drs. tomorrow, so I find out more news tomorrow.
Thanks for listen

One thing that always help me go to sleep is
inhale while counting to 4 or 5 which ever feels better for you
then exhale while doing the same count.
Your mind will wonder back to your problems from time to time just make sure to pick up the count again. keep counting. this mimics your breathing while your sleeping and helps clear you mind of everything except counting to 4. Also you can get some melatonin walgreens has it. You can search the web to see what it can do for you. the counting has always helped me no matter whats buggin me. TRY IT

Very sorry to hear about your other daugther Darrell. Hopefully it was caught very early on and with aggressive treatment it will just be a minor bump in the road for her.
The great news about bad days is that there are always better ones ahead. Hang in there D!
