I do think the motor sits just a touch higher than it did with the stock ones, I remember there being a little more clearance than there is now. Its possible that the stock mounts were already starting to weaken, especially since they are liquid filled.

My prothane mounts sat about 1/4" higher than the stockers. When we installed the Saleen blower, I had to cut the mounts down so that the blower would clear the hood.

My engine also sits higher. Slightly rubs the shaker shroud on the passenger side. I was always going to lower them a tad but put a rubber baby buggie bumper on that side of the shroud and it acts as a cushion to stop the rubbing.

Just curious, why are you guys replacing your motor mounts?

The squishy stock mounts absorb some horsepower that could be applied to the ground. I have read as much as 5 rwhp gain. Also when running longtube headers the clearance become so much tighter that you need to control engine movement.

Plus we can't resist replacing steel and rubber with aluminum and urethane.

I did it because I got a good deal on them, might be doing headers sometime in the future too.
In a little bit I'm going to go wash the 'stang, it's a bit dusty even though it was covered.
