The MSRP for the Mustang I want is $38,955. My salesman offered up a price of $37,225. Not what I was hoping for though. Hopefully I can get it down some more or find an X-plan pin.

 

Ya...I was playing with the 2011 configurator yesterday. Mustangs went up a smidge, eh?

 

I don't think the X-plan would be much less then that. What did you go with to get the sales price that high? The glass roof, or the electronics package?

Yeah, they did go up in price since 2005. Much more and I wouldn't have bought it.

Glass roof and Brembo Brake package are the killers. This will probably be my last Mustang since the kids are getting big and I'd like to make it a good one.

 

The glass roof is kind of cool , but a little pricy at 2 Grand.

X plan price is $36,354. Which is still gonna leave me with a $500 payment. 130 something dollars more a month than my '05 was! He also said my trade would be more than likely be less than 10k whichI kind of already expected. Hopefully I can sell it instead. Ugh!

 

$10K??? Looking at KBB and Nada Guides, mine is placed between $10K-14K for trade in. How many miles do you have (55K on mine)? And I don't have leather (another $300 adder). Seems like he's low-balling you.

 

He said that's what his trade in guy guessed. I have 69,500 miles. I guess it's a good thing I bought this instead!

I still say he's low-balling you. For fun, you should take it to Car Max and see what they'd buy it for. They gave me a better deal than the dealership on my old car when I bought the 'Stang.

Funny thing is, they have the real deal in that exact color down there!
I thought about going down to Carmax just to check.

 

I sold a truck that I had to CarMax once. They gave me a pretty good price on it. Maybe something to consider?

Yeah, I talked to my Sales guy on Tuesday afternoon and he said they had just started shipping the GT's from the factory. But somebody took a pic on Wensday of a GT at a Dealers lot, so maybe they started shipping them eariler?

Anyways, I called Ford's customer service and they said it is supposed to be here on Tuesday, May 4th, which is next week. I'm not really sure it will come next week. I was thinking it might be the week after that?

But, it's getting close.....
